This page allows you to select the deployment plan you wish to use for installing and configuring your SAS software.
If you have worked with SAS consultants to create a customized deployment plan or if you choose to use a non-customized plan, select the Specify the full path to a customized or non-customized deployment plan option and enter the path to your deployment plan. The SAS Deployment Wizard will accept either a directory location or a specific file. You can also use the Browse option to search your system for the plan file. When the location has been entered through either of these methods, a summary of the plan will open in the bottom pane.
Note that you must select a deployment plan for a SAS 9.4 order. Deployment plans for previous versions of SAS will not be accepted by the SAS Deployment Wizard.
The SAS Deployment Wizard comes with standard plans for some of the more common deployments of SAS software. If you do not have a deployment plan, choose the Select a standard deployment plan option. With that option selected, you can either scroll through the list of plans to find the one that best suits your needs or click Search to open a separate window that allows you to search for a plan using any combination of product names and number of machines. When you select a plan, a summary of it will open in the bottom pane.
When the bottom pane summarizes the plan you would like to use to deploy your software, click Next to continue.
The "Manage My Software Account" Portal on the SAS support site provides some assistance in choosing a standard deployment plan based on your SAS software order. The Portal is available at https://support.sas.com/sastools.
After entering your credentials, select View and Manage Software Installation Sites. On the SAS Software Installation Sites page, click on the Tech Support Site Number that includes the order you are working with. If you are unsure of your Tech Support Site Number, you can find it listed on your Software Order E-mail or in your Software Order Information document in your SAS Software Depot. On the Site Detail page that opens, select SAS Software Orders from the select list and click Go. Finally, in the row that represents the order you are installing, click Plan Needed in order to see deployment plans that can be used to install your software.
After you look through the deployment plans that the web site recommends and choose the one that you want to use, return to the Specify Deployment Plan dialog of the SAS Deployment Wizard and select the same plan from the list.
