SAS 6.12 TS040 was shipped before Open Ingres was available on Digital
Unix.  As a result, sasmanager does not have an option to install an
interface to Open Ingres.  
 
We are now providing the three modules that are needed to create a link
to Open Ingres on Digital Unix.  These modules have not been fully tested
by our QA department, but have been successfully used at the Institute
and several European SAS sites.

The three modules needed to apply this fix are:

  insql12.o   (put this in !sasroot/saspgm/dbi/obj)
  zdbimenu.db  (put this in !sasroot/install)
  zdbiing.ins  (put this in !sasroot/install)

Once the above modules are in place, make sure the Ingres environment is
setup properly (II_SYSTEM environment variable).  Then, start sasmanager,
and take the appropriate steps in the Custom Installation to link with
the Ingres database (Open Ingres should now be a choice).
