INSTALLATION INSTRUCTIONS FOR HOT FIX F9BA08 ON WINDOWS FOR IPF


BEFORE DOWNLOADING:


Hot fix F9BA08 addresses the issue(s) in SAS 9.2 (9.2 TS1M0) 
of Base SAS software on Windows for IPF as documented in the
"Issue(s) Addressed" section of the hot fix download page:

IMPORTANT NOTE(S):

1.  You must have SAS 9.2 (9.2 TS1M0) installed on your system before 
    applying this hot fix.

2.  You must have Administrator Privileges on your CLIENT or SERVER machine.
    
3.  All currently active SAS sessions, daemons, spawners and servers must 
    be terminated before applying this hot fix.

4.  To fully implement the fix for

        Problem Note 32003:
        Text searches return different results in PDF files created by ODS PDF
        http://support.sas.com/kb/32/003.html

     the SAS registry requires an update per the Post Installation Instructions below.


AFTER DOWNLOADING:

The hot fix package downloaded is a self extracting executable named 
f9ba08w6.exe.  Launching the executable will initiate the install wizard 
which will guide you through the setup process.  The following files will
be installed:

      * saspdpdf.dll
      * f9ba08.sasxreg
      * administrative files used for installation and validation

To fully implement the fix for

the SAS registry requires an update.  This update can be performed at an individual
user level by updating the SAS registry in SASUSER or at a system level by updating
the SAS registry in SASHELP.


To update the SAS registry at the individual user level (in SASUSER), submit
the following:

      filename myfile  '<sasroot>\core\sasinst\hotfix\f9ba08.sasxreg';

      /*  filename myfile 'C:\Program Files\SAS92\SASFoundation\9.2\core\sasinst\hotfix\f9ba08.sasxreg';  */

To update the SAS registry at the system level (in SASHELP), you must have SAS
administrator privileges (or write access to the SASHELP registry) and then submit
the following:
