SAS 9.1.3 Service Pack 4 z/OS IMPORTANT NOTE(S): 1. You must have a daemon running on the PC where the files have been downloaded. During the install the FTP command MGET is used to pull files from the PC to the mainframe. 2. All servers and services must be terminated before applying this Service Pack. 3. The installing userid must have the permissions to create and modify datasets under the production prefix. 4. If you are upgrading your SAS System installation from an earlier level and you have set the SAS System options by assembling the DEFAULT OPTIONS TABLE using the BAOPTS1 member of your original CNTL data set, you must reassemble this table. 5. If you are running the SAS System out of the LPA with PGM=SASLPA, it is necessary to refresh the LPA after completing the installation of the Service Pack. 6. During installation with the wizard, when asked at the ‘DVD/Internet Batch Generation’ screen, the hostname, userid & password are for the PC where the Service Pack was downloaded. The ‘DVD/Internet Files Location’ screen is asking for the directory and path, on the PC, that was created when the files were downloaded. 7. Installations running SAS High-Performance Forecasting 2.2 or higher should NOT apply SAS 9.1.3 Service Pack 4. Installation Instructions STEP 1: The Service Pack downloaded is a self extracting executable named zos_SP4_XX.exe. (Where XX is the encoding that you downloaded.) Launching the executable will prompt for a directory and will populate that directory with two subdirectories. STEP 2: In the Install directory, double click the Setup.exe file to start the Installation Wizard. You will be prompted to view Online Help for the Wizard, leaving this box checked will give you detailed help in using the wizard. STEP 3: After installing the Service Pack, review the Configuration Instructions for any additional configuration that may be necessary for specific products you have installed. This completes the installation of SAS 9.1.3 Service Pack 4 z/OS. March2006
