INSTALLATION INSTRUCTIONS FOR HOT FIX BUNDLE E9BX04 WINDOWS IMPORTANT NOTE(S): 1. You must have SAS 9.1.3 (9.1 TS1M3) and SAS 9.1.3 Service Pack 4 installed on your system before applying this hot fix bundle. 2. You must have Administrator Privileges on your CLIENT or SERVER machine. 3. All currently active SAS sessions, daemons, spawners and servers must be terminated before applying this hot fix bundle. 4. It is recommended that you make a back-up of your SAS installation before applying this hot fix bundle. 5. If E9BX04 is being applied to a SAS 9.1.3 (9.1 TS1M3) image located on a SERVER, then you must confirm that the same "version" of "sashost.dll" which is installed on the SERVER is also installed in the !SASROOT directory (the directory where SAS 9.1.3 (9.1 TS1M3) is installed) on each CLIENT. Information on the "version" of "sashost.dll" is available by viewing the "properties" of sashost.dll. If the version numbers between SERVER and CLIENT do not match, simply copy sashost.dll from the SERVER to the CLIENT. 6. If you do NOT have SAS Enterprise Miner installed on your machine and if you execute the SAS Installation Qualification Tool (SASIQ) after installing E9BX04, you will see the following "Error" in the SASIQ window: ERROR: Unable to locate a match for product dmine for hot fix e9bb91. This is a known issue, it does not indicate a problem with your install and it may be ignored. This issue is documented in SAS Note: http://support.sas.com/kb/19/694.html 7. BASE SAS hot fixes which are NOT included in hot fix bundle E9BX04, identified at http://ftp.sas.com/techsup/download/hotfix/e9_win_sbcs_base_whats_new_since_bundle.html may have files in common with E9BX04. The files within the hot fixes will likely be "newer" than those in E9BX04. If you install E9BX04 AFTER installing a BASE SAS hot fix which is not included in E9BX04, you may see a "File not copied: " error on the E9BX04 installer confirmation screen. This is expected for any files that are common between E9BX04 and a "newer" hot fix. AFTER DOWNLOADING: The bundle package downloaded is a self extracting executable named e9bx04wn.exe. Launching the executable will initiate the install wizard, which will guide you through the setup process. This completes the installation of BASE SAS Hot Fix Bundle E9BX04 on Windows.
