INSTALLATION INSTRUCTIONS FOR HOT FIX E9BD59 ON WINDOWS for IPF (64 bit)


BEFORE DOWNLOADING:


The hot fix E9BD59 addresses the issue(s) in SAS 9.1.3 (9.1 TS1M3) 
of Base SAS software on Windows for IPF (64 bit) as documented in the
"Issue(s) Addressed" section of the hot fix download page:

IMPORTANT NOTE(S):

1.  You must have SAS 9.1.3 (9.1 TS1M3) and SAS 9.1.3 Service Pack 4
    installed on your system before applying this hot fix.

2.  You must have Administrator Privileges on your CLIENT or SERVER machine.
    
3.  All currently active SAS sessions, daemons, spawners and servers must 
    be terminated before applying this hot fix.

4.  If E9BD59 is being applied to a SAS 9.1.3 (9.1 TS1M3) image located 
    on a SERVER, then you must confirm that the same "version" of "sashost.dll"
    which is installed on the SERVER is also installed in the !SASROOT directory 
    (the directory where SAS 9.1.3 (9.1 TS1M3) is installed) on each CLIENT.
    
    Information on the "version" of "sashost.dll" is available by viewing the
    "properties" of sashost.dll.  If the version numbers between SERVER and CLIENT
    do not match, simply copy sashost.dll from the SERVER to the CLIENT.


AFTER DOWNLOADING:

The hot fix package downloaded is a self extracting executable named 
e9bd59w6.exe.  Launching the executable will initiate the install wizard, 
which will guide you through the setup process.  The following files will
be installed:

      * sasvtcp.dll
             the replacement module containing the hot fix

      * tkegrid.dll
             the replacement module containing the hot fix

      * tkegridn.dll
             the replacement module containing the hot fix

      * sashost.dll
             the replacement module containing the hot fix

      * sasvwu.dll
             the replacement module containing the hot fix

      * tkmk.dll
             the replacement module containing the hot fix

      * saswztx.dll
             the replacement module containing the hot fix

      * tknls.dll
             the replacement module containing the hot fix

      * e9bd59w6.aud
             a hot fix identifier file that will allow Technical Support
             to determine which fixes have been applied to a system

      * e9bd59w6.txt
             a copy of these installation instructions; this file is installed
             in !SASROOT\core\sasinst\hotfix 

      * checksums and *.ini files for use in a future implementation of SASIQ 
        validation testing


This completes the installation of hot fix E9BD59 on Windows for IPF (64 bit).
