INSTALLATION INSTRUCTIONS FOR HOT FIX E9R303 HP-UX BEFORE DOWNLOADING: The hot fix E9R303 addresses the issue(s) in SAS 9.1.3 (9.1 TS1M3) of SAS/ACCESS Interface to R/3 software on HP-UX as documented in the "Issue(s) Addressed" section of the hot fix download page: http://ftp.sas.com/techsup/download/hotfix/e9_sbcs_prod_list.html#e9r303 IMPORTANT NOTE(S): 1. You must have SAS 9.1.3 (9.1 TS1M3) and SAS 9.1.3 Service Pack 4 installed on your system before applying this hot fix. 2. You must have Administrator Privileges on your CLIENT or SERVER machine. 3. All currently active SAS sessions, daemons, spawners and servers must be terminated before applying this hot fix. 4. You must be running SAP ECC 6.0, SAP Kernel Release 7.0. AFTER DOWNLOADING: The hot fix package downloaded is a tar file named e9r303h6.tar. Extract the contents of e9r303h6.tar to a temporary directory. For example: $ cd /tmp $ tar -xf e9r303h6.tar This will create a directory named e9r303 which contains the files: * SAS913.SAR the replacement file containing the hot fix * SAS913S1.SAR the replacement file containing the hot fix NOTE: For SAP ECC 6.0, SAP Kernel Release 7.0, SAS provides an add-on for the installation of the ABAP objects in the SAP System. The add-on is only available for SAP ECC 6.0. Installing the add-on is an alternative to installing the ABAP objects by using the transport files as described in "Chapter 3 : Installing SAS/ACCESS Interface to R/3 Software." You should either install the add-on or you should apply the SAS-provided transport files, but not both. Use the SAP Add-On Installation Tool (transaction SAINT) to import the objects for the SAS/ACCESS Interface to R/3 into the SAP System. 1. Log in to client 000 of the SAP system with an administrator account. 2. Call the Add-On Installation Tool with transaction SAINT. 3. Choose "Installation Package -> Load packages -> From front end" from the menu. The system displays a dialog box for selecting the archive. Traverse the path to the SAS913.SAR file and select it. 4. To copy the archive to the application server and decompress it, select Decompress. Then, select Start. The SAS/ACCESS to R/3 add-on is now listed in the Add-On Installation Tool as an installable add-on. 5. To prepare the installation queue for the add-on, select the SAS add-on, and choose Continue. a. If all import requirements are met, the installation queue is displayed. b. If all of the import requirements are not met, you cannot install the add-on in this SAP system. The import requirements are listed. As an alternative you can install the transport files as described in “Chapter 3 — Installing SAS/ACCESS Interface to R/3 Software” in the "Installation Instructions for SAS/ACCESS 4.2 Interface to R/3". 6. To start the installation, choose the Continue button. To install the SAS913S1.SAR add-on supplement, or other add-on supplements: 1. Log in to client 000 of the SAP system with an administrator account. 2. Call the Support Package Manager Tool with transaction SPAM. 3. Choose "Support Package -> Load packages -> From front end" from the menu. The system displays a dialog box for selecting the archive. Traverse the path to the SAS913S1.SAR file and select it. 4. To copy the archive to the application server and decompress it, select Decompress. Then, select Display/Define and click on SAS. 5. Highlight the Support Package (Patch 0001) and press Enter. 6. To start the installation, click on the Import Queue icon. 7. When the installation finishes, select the menu item Support Package | Confirm. This completes the installation of hot fix E9R303 on HP-UX.
