INSTALLATION INSTRUCTIONS FOR HOT FIX C9JL01 ON WINDOWS


BEFORE DOWNLOADING:


The hot fix C9JL01 addresses the issue(s) in SAS 9.1.2 (9.1 TS1M2) 
of SAS Information Delivery Portal  software on Windows as documented in SAS Note(s):  

      SN-012635 Themes resources, such as GIF files, may not be displayed
                in the Information Delivery Portal

IMPORTANT NOTE(S):

1.  You must have SAS 9.1.2 (9.1 TS1M2) installed on your system before 
    applying this hot fix.

2.  You must perform a manual backup of the existing sas.web.framework.jar file BEFORE installing
     this update.  Steps for performing the backup are as follows:

            * From  !SASROOT\web\Portal2.0.1 
                Create --->   backups\c9jl01
            * Copy   --->   !SASROOT\web\Portal2.0.1\Portal\WEB-INF\lib\sas.web.framework.jar
                   To   ---->  !SASROOT\web\Portal2.0.1\backups\c9jl01


AFTER DOWNLOADING:

The hot fix package downloaded is a self extracting executable named 
c9jl01wn.exe.  Launching the executable will initiate the install wizard, 
which will guide you through the setup process.  The following file will
be installed to the appropriate Portal paths:

      * sas.web.framework.jar
             !sasroot\Web\Portal2.0.1\Portal\WEB-INF\lib
             !sasroot\Web\Portal2.0.1\SASPreferences\WEB-INF\lib
             !sasroot\Web\Portal2.0.1\SASServices\WEB-INF\lib
                  
      * c9jl01wn.aud
             a hot fix identifier file that will allow Technical Support
             to determine which fixes have been applied to a system
             this file is installed in !SASROOT\core\sasinst\hotfix 

      * c9jl01wn.txt
             a copy of these installation instructions; this file is installed
             in !SASROOT\core\sasinst\hotfix 

      * checksums and *.ini files used during SASIQ validation testing



After the hotfix, c9JL01, finishes execution and the sas.web.framework.jar has been updated in 
the setup directory, You must rebuild the Portal.war and SASPreferences.war files and 
redeploy them. It is also necessary to redeploy the SASServices application. 

Perform the following steps: 

1) Stop the servlet container and the remote services application. 
2) Run the configure_wik utility to update the remote service application and create
   new Portal.war and SASPreferences.war files.
3) Start the remote services application. 
4) Redeploy the Portal.war and SASPreferences.war files to the servlet container on your 
   portal Web application's Web server machine. 
5) Start the servlet container


This completes the installation of hot fix C9JL01 on Windows.
