INSTALLATION INSTRUCTIONS FOR HOT FIX 82TM01 ON WINDOWS


BEFORE DOWNLOADING:


The hot fix 82TM01 addresses the issue(s) in Release 8.2 (TS2M0) 
of SAS Text Miner software on Windows as documented in SAS Note(s):  

      SN-008579 Processing error occurs when using Text Miner node
                in Enterprise Miner     
      SN-008600 Text Miner node appears to hang with X command active     
      SN-008757 Processing error occurs when using Text Miner node
                in Enterprise Miner     
      SN-008763 %TMFILTER macro fails with ERROR: Physical file does
                not exist     
      SN-007921 Errors can occur reading XML markup characters in SAS
                Text Miner     
      SN-008785 Scoring a text data set fails if flow is defined incorrectly

IMPORTANT NOTE(S):

1.  You must have Release 8.2 (TS2M0) installed on your system before 
    applying this hot fix.

2.  You must have Administrator Privileges on your CLIENT or SERVER machine
    and all currently active SAS sessions, daemons, spawners and servers
    must be terminated before applying this hot fix.


AFTER DOWNLOADING:

The hot fix package downloaded is a self extracting executable named 
82tm01wn.exe.  Launching the executable will initiate the install wizard, 
which will guide you through the setup process.  The following files will
be installed:

      * emtext.sas7bcat
             the replacement catalog containing the hot fix

      * emtxtgui.sas7bcat
             the replacement catalog containing the hot fix

      * emmacs.sas7bcat
             the replacement catalog containing the hot fix

      * tmchi.sas
             the replacement autocall containing the hot fix

      * tmig.sas
             the replacement autocall containing the hot fix

      * tmfilter.sas
             the replacement autocall containing the hot fix

      * tmwcdict.sas
             the replacement autocall containing the hot fix

      * tmwncat.sas
             the replacement autocall containing the hot fix

      * tmterm1.sas
             the replacement autocall containing the hot fix

      * tmnterm1.sas
             the replacement autocall containing the hot fix

      * xfilter.exe
             the replacement executable containing the hot fix

      * xparse.exe
             the replacement executable containing the hot fix

      * TW6916.pdf
             an updated version of the document

             "Getting Started with SAS Text Miner Software, Release 8.2"

             This document will be installed in 

             $SASROOT\dmine\sasmisc\textmine\doc


      * 82tm01wn.aud
             a hot fix identifier file that will allow Technical Support
             to determine which fixes have been applied to a system

      * 82tm01wn.txt
             a copy of these installation instructions; this file is installed
             in !SASROOT\core\sasinst\hotfix
