INSTALLATION INSTRUCTIONS FOR HOT FIX 82PF05 ON WINDOWS


BEFORE DOWNLOADING:


The hot fix 82PF05 addresses the issue(s) in Release 8.2 (TS2M0) 
of SAS/ACCESS Interface to PC File Formats software on Windows as documented in SAS Note(s):  

      SN-004249 PROC EXPORT of a numeric variable causes missing data
                in MSAccess 2000/XP file   
      SN-005809 ERROR: Problem removing original table, when using
                PROC EXPORT to create an MSACCESS table   
      SN-005811 Syntax error when using WGDB option with PROC IMPORT
                procedure     
      SN-005812 PROC IMPORT fails when importing Microsoft files when
                MDAC 2.70 is installed on the machine   
      SN-004195 PROC IMPORT is not setting the SYSLAST and SYSDSN Macros
                Correctly     
      SN-005506 Importing from Excel 97 or 2000 where the sheet name
                contains an & fails.   
      SN-006001 Access Interface to OLEDB will fail when attempting

IMPORTANT NOTE(S):

1.  You must have Release 8.2 (TS2M0) installed on your system before 
    applying this hot fix.

2.  You must have Administrator Privileges on your CLIENT or SERVER machine
    and all currently active SAS sessions, daemons, spawners and servers
    must be terminated before applying this hot fix.


AFTER DOWNLOADING:

The hot fix package downloaded is a self extracting executable named 
82pf05wn.exe.  Launching the executable will initiate the install wizard, 
which will guide you through the setup process.  The following files will
be installed:

      * sasimode.dll
             the replacement module containing the hot fix

      * sasimsht.dll
             the replacement module containing the hot fix

      * sasimctr.dll
             the replacement module containing the hot fix

      * sasole.dll
             the replacement module containing the hot fix

      * sasioole.dll
             the replacement module containing the hot fix

      * sasimole.dll
             the replacement module containing the hot fix

      * sasimoda.dll
             the replacement module containing the hot fix

      * 82pf05wn.aud
             a hot fix identifier file that will allow Technical Support
             to determine which fixes have been applied to a system

      * 82pf05wn.txt
             a copy of these installation instructions; this file is installed
             in !SASROOT\core\sasinst\hotfix 



This completes the installation of hot fix 82PF05 on Windows.
