INSTALLATION INSTRUCTIONS FOR HOT FIX 82MX01 ON WINDOWS


BEFORE DOWNLOADING:


The hot fix 82MX01 addresses the issue(s) in Release 8.2 (TS2M0) 
of SAS/MDDB Server software on Windows as documented in SAS Note(s):  

      SN-003983 "Failed to Execute MDX Query" error when attempting
                to open a cube using Enterprise Guide   
      SN-005961 Unable to open "library.cube(repository)" data when
                using Create MDDB task in Enterprise Guide   
      SN-005088 Garbage characters may appear in MDDB cells when viewing
                cubes in Enterprise Guide

IMPORTANT NOTE(S):

1.  You must have Release 8.2 (TS2M0) installed on your system before 
    applying this hot fix.



AFTER DOWNLOADING:

The hot fix package downloaded is a self extracting executable named 
82mx01wn.exe.  Launching the executable will initiate the install wizard, 
which will guide you through the setup process.  The following files will
be installed:

      * sasmdx.dll
             the replacement module containing the hot fix

      * sasolads.dll
             the replacement module containing the hot fix

      * sasolap.dll
             the replacement module containing the hot fix

      * saseisb.dll
             the replacement module containing the hot fix

      * 82mx01wn.aud
             a hot fix identifier file that will allow Technical Support
             to determine which fixes have been applied to a system

      * 82mx01wn.txt
             a copy of these installation instructions; this file is installed
             in !SASROOT\core\sasinst\hotfix 



This completes the installation of hot fix 82MX01 on Windows.
