INSTALLATION INSTRUCTIONS FOR HOT FIX 82IH19 ON WINDOWS


BEFORE DOWNLOADING:


The hot fix 82IH19 addresses the issue(s) in Release 8.2 (TS2M0) 
of SAS Integration Technologies software on Windows as documented in SAS Note(s):  

      SN-007626 SAS IOM Server requires manual intervention to cancel
                orphaned or "hung" SAS process   
      SN-011902 Error:  Unable to bind to port xxxx (10038 - WSAENOTSOCK)
                when starting the Object Spawner   
      SN-013228 "Conversion of environment block failure" in ObjectSpawner
                log caused by Object Spawner not sizing DBCS Characters in the Windows environment variables correctly 
      SN-013381 SIGHANDLER caught signal 20  or Segmentation Violation
                in Task (PE Bridg) using Object Spawner   
      SN-014312 SAS IOM WorkSpace Server may fail to launch when environment
                variable contains DBCS in value

IMPORTANT NOTE(S):

1.  You must have Release 8.2 (TS2M0) installed on your system before 
    applying this hot fix.

2.  You must have Administrator Privileges on your CLIENT or SERVER machine
    and all currently active SAS sessions, daemons, spawners and servers
    must be terminated before applying this hot fix.


AFTER DOWNLOADING:

The hot fix package downloaded is a self extracting executable named 
82ih19wn.exe.  Launching the executable will initiate the install wizard, 
which will guide you through the setup process.  The following files will
be installed:

      * objspawn.exe
             the replacement other containing the hot fix

      * saspelsk.dll
             the replacement module containing the hot fix

      * 82ih19wn.aud
             a hot fix identifier file that will allow Technical Support
             to determine which fixes have been applied to a system

      * 82ih19wn.txt
             a copy of these installation instructions; this file is installed
             in !SASROOT\core\sasinst\hotfix 



This completes the installation of hot fix 82IH19 on Windows.
