INSTALLATION INSTRUCTIONS FOR HOT FIX 82GR07 ON OS/390


BEFORE DOWNLOADING:


The hot fix 82GR07 addresses the issue(s) in Release 8.2 (TS2M0) 
of SAS/GRAPH software on OS/390 as documented in SAS Note(s):  

      SN-007110 SAS/GRAPH Java applets do not load properly with Java
                plug-in 1.3.1_01 or later

IMPORTANT NOTE(S):

1.  You must have Release 8.2 (TS2M0) installed on your system before 
    applying this hot fix.



AFTER DOWNLOADING:

The hot fix package downloaded is a self extracting executable named 
82gr07os.exe.  Launching the executable will extract the files to the 
default location of                          
                                                                                
      example: C:\os390\82gr07os  

You will be prompted during the extraction process to accept or overwrite 
the default unzip location.  The remaining steps in these installation 
instructions assume that you have unzipped the files to the default            
location.

The following files will be extracted into C:\os390\82gr07os:

      * graphapp.jar
             the replacement jar containing the hot fix

      * ctrapp.jar
             the replacement jar containing the hot fix

      * mapapp.jar
             the replacement jar containing the hot fix

      * 82gr07os.txt
             a copy of these installation instructions


SAS/GRAPH Java Applets may be installed anywhere on your Web server 
although the directory corresponding to the URL 

      http://your_server/sasweb/graph 

is recommended.

Technical Support recommends that you first back up the existing 
graphapp.jar, ctrapp.jar and mapapp.jar files on your Web server 
before proceeding.  

Once backups are made, 

1.  Replace the existing graphapp.jar installed on your Web server with 
    the graphapp.jar file in c:\os390\82gr07os.

2.  Replace the existing ctrapp.jar installed on your Web server with 
    the ctrapp.jar file in c:\os390\82gr07os.

2.  Replace the existing mapapp.jar installed on your Web server with 
    the mapapp.jar file in c:\os390\82gr07os.



This completes the installation of hot fix 82GR07 on OS/390.
