INSTALLATION INSTRUCTIONS FOR HOT FIX 82GR06 ON WINDOWS


BEFORE DOWNLOADING:


The hot fix 82GR06 addresses the issue(s) in Release 8.2 (TS2M0) 
of SAS/GRAPH software on Windows as documented in SAS Note(s):  

      SN-008970 Browser session may be lost when using the SAS/GRAPH
                control for ActiveX due to useless cookies   
      SN-008969 "Out of Memory" errors may occur when using the SAS/GRAPH
                control for ActiveX   
      SN-005217 "ERROR: Unauthorized use of SAS/Graph ActiveX Controls"
                may occur when using the ActiveX control   
      SN-009668 Various problems may occur when producing overlaid
                or subgrouped high/low charts with the ActiveX graph control   
      SN-010296 When producing an ActiveX graph in RTF format, the
                legend may be lost when saving the RTF file with MS Word

IMPORTANT NOTE(S):

1.  You must have Release 8.2 (TS2M0) installed on your system before 
    applying this hot fix.

2.  You must have Administrator Privileges on your CLIENT or SERVER machine
    and all currently active SAS sessions, daemons, spawners and servers
    must be terminated before applying this hot fix.


AFTER DOWNLOADING:

STEP 1

The hot fix package downloaded is a self extracting executable named 
82gr06wn.exe.  Launching the executable will initiate the install wizard, 
which will guide you through the setup process.  The following files will
be installed:

      * sasgraph.exe
             the replacement module containing the hot fix

      * 82gr06wn.aud
             a hot fix identifier file that will allow Technical Support
             to determine which fixes have been applied to a system

      * 82gr06wn.txt
             a copy of these installation instructions; this file is installed
             in !SASROOT\core\sasinst\hotfix 


STEP 2:

Launch the executable 

      sasgraph.exe 

which will reside in the !sasroot directory. 

The sasgraph.exe file is a self contained, self extracting InstallShield archive that
will completely handle the installation and registration of the graph control 
components. Once the installation is complete, there is no need to retain this file.



This completes the installation of hot fix 82GR06 on Windows.
