INSTALLATION INSTRUCTIONS FOR HOT FIX 82GN03 ON WINDOWS


BEFORE DOWNLOADING:


The hot fix 82GN03 addresses the issue(s) in Release 8.2 (TS2M0) 
of SAS/Genetics software on Windows as documented in SAS Note(s):  

      SN-008626 The Chi-Square statistic in PROC FAMILY may be incorrectly
                reported for the COMBINED STDT   
      SN-008611 Haplotype frequencies and linkage disequilibrium measures
                in PROC ALLELE may be incorrectly reported   
      SN-008644 PROC FAMILY with RCTDT option and some missing genotypes
                may give incorrect results   
      SN-008629 PROC FAMILY may incorrectly report TDT Chi-square results
                when the SDT and COMBINE options are also specified   
      SN-008628 PROC FAMILY with SDT option and one allele with zero
                contribution often incorrectly reports degrees of freedom for the SDT   
      SN-008627 PROC FAMILY reports incorrect results when using character
                variables     
      SN-008625 The Likelihood Ratio Test Statistic for the Marker-Trait
                Association in PROC HAPLOTYPE is incorrect   
      SN-008624 Tests for Haplotype-Trait Association table in PROC
                HAPLOTYPE may report incorrect chi-square and p-value   
      SN-008620 The NDATA option causes the WHERE statement not to
                function with four of the SAS GENETICS procedures   
      SN-008737 READ ACCESS VIOLATION may occur in PROC ALLELE when
                requesting linkage disequilbrium measures   
      SN-009096 PROC ALLELE incorrectly computes haplotype frequencies
                when two loci have the same exact allele and genotype frequencies

IMPORTANT NOTE(S):

1.  You must have Release 8.2 (TS2M0) installed on your system before 
    applying this hot fix.

2.  You must have Administrator Privileges on your CLIENT or SERVER machine
    and all currently active SAS sessions, daemons, spawners and servers
    must be terminated before applying this hot fix.


AFTER DOWNLOADING:

The hot fix package downloaded is a self extracting executable named 
82gn03wn.exe.  Launching the executable will initiate the install wizard, 
which will guide you through the setup process.  The following files will
be installed:

      * sasallel.dll
             the replacement module containing the hot fix

      * sascasec.dll
             the replacement module containing the hot fix

      * sasfamil.dll
             the replacement module containing the hot fix

      * sashaplo.dll
             the replacement module containing the hot fix

      * 82gn03wn.aud
             a hot fix identifier file that will allow Technical Support
             to determine which fixes have been applied to a system

      * 82gn03wn.txt
             a copy of these installation instructions; this file is installed
             in !SASROOT\core\sasinst\hotfix 



This completes the installation of hot fix 82GN03 on Windows.
