INSTALLATION INSTRUCTIONS FOR HOT FIX 82FS03 ON WINDOWS


BEFORE DOWNLOADING:


The hot fix 82FS03 addresses the issue(s) in Release 8.2 (TS2M0) 
of SAS/FSP software on Windows as documented in SAS Note(s):  

      SN-006147 Potential security exposure with SAS/FSP     
      SN-010748 Underscores or pad character may remain as part of
                value     
      SN-014026 Generic critical error when resizing the FSVIEW window
                in X Window System environment

IMPORTANT NOTE(S):

1.  You must have Release 8.2 (TS2M0) installed on your system before 
    applying this hot fix.

2.  You must have Administrator Privileges on your CLIENT or SERVER machine
    and all currently active SAS sessions, daemons, spawners and servers
    must be terminated before applying this hot fix.


AFTER DOWNLOADING:

The hot fix package downloaded is a self extracting executable named 
82fs03wn.exe.  Launching the executable will initiate the install wizard, 
which will guide you through the setup process.  The following files will
be installed:

      * sasfpp.dll
             the replacement module containing the hot fix

      * sasfse.dll
             the replacement module containing the hot fix

      * 82fs03wn.aud
             a hot fix identifier file that will allow Technical Support
             to determine which fixes have been applied to a system

      * 82fs03wn.txt
             a copy of these installation instructions; this file is installed
             in !SASROOT\core\sasinst\hotfix 



This completes the installation of hot fix 82FS03 on Windows.
