INSTALLATION INSTRUCTIONS FOR HOT FIX 82BC05 ON WINDOWS


BEFORE DOWNLOADING:


The hot fix 82BC05 addresses the issue(s) in Release 8.2 (TS2M0) 
of Base SAS software on Windows as documented in SAS Note(s):  

      SN-004155 Value in combo box may display incorrectly when using
                Pageup/Pagedown keys   
      SN-006146 May receive ERROR: Parameter 1 to method setcamText
                was not character     
      SN-006942 Value may not be stored with combo box using Dropdown
                List     
      SN-010956 Memory is not freed when terminating all objects in
                a Work Area

IMPORTANT NOTE(S):

1.  You must have Release 8.2 (TS2M0) installed on your system before 
    applying this hot fix.

2.  You must have Administrator Privileges on your CLIENT or SERVER machine
    and all currently active SAS sessions, daemons, spawners and servers
    must be terminated before applying this hot fix.


AFTER DOWNLOADING:

The hot fix package downloaded is a self extracting executable named 
82bc05wn.exe.  Launching the executable will initiate the install wizard, 
which will guide you through the setup process.  The following files will
be installed:

      * sasowid.dll
             the replacement module containing the hot fix

      * 82bc05wn.aud
             a hot fix identifier file that will allow Technical Support
             to determine which fixes have been applied to a system

      * 82bc05wn.txt
             a copy of these installation instructions; this file is installed
             in !SASROOT\core\sasinst\hotfix 



This completes the installation of hot fix 82BC05 on Windows.
