INSTALLATION INSTRUCTIONS FOR HOT FIX 82R301 ON WINDOWS


BEFORE DOWNLOADING:


The hot fix 82R301 addresses the issue(s) in Release 8.2 (TS2M0) 
of SAS/ACCESS Interface to R/3 software on Windows as documented in SAS Note(s):  

      SN-006980 Error using transport files to install SAP objects
                for SAS/ACCESS to R/3

IMPORTANT NOTE(S):

1.  You must have Release 8.2 (TS2M0) installed on your system before 
    applying this hot fix.

2.  You must have Administrator Privileges on your CLIENT or SERVER machine
    before applying this hot fix.

3.  The transport K900219.SI1/R900219.SI1 contains the function group ZSAS including 
    the function modules to extract sets, and the ABAP programs ZSASRDTB and ZSASRDBT.  
    Import these transport files for SAP R/3 systems.  See SAS Note SN-006980 for details.

    The transport K900138.SI2/R900138.SI2 contains the function group ZSAS and the ABAP 
    programs ZSASRDTB and ZSASRDBT. The set/hierarchy extraction functions are not included 
    in this transport file.  Import these transport files for SAP BW systems.  See SAS Note SN-007683 
    for details.

    The tranport K900051.SI4/R900051.SI4 contains the function group Z_SAS_BW_READ_METADATA
    and the function module Z_SAS_IOBJ_GETDETAIL_LIST.  Import these transport files for SAP BW
    systems.  See SAS Note SN-10245 for details.

    Refer to Appendix J - "Using Transport to Install SAP Objects" in the SAS/ACCESS Interface to R/3 
    Release 8.2 installation instructions.



AFTER DOWNLOADING:

The hot fix package downloaded is a self extracting executable named 
82r301wn.exe.  Launching the executable will initiate the install wizard, 
which will guide you through the setup process.  The following files will
be installed:

      * aixrrfc.tar
             the replacement tar file containing the hot fix

      * aosfrfc.tar
             the replacement tar file containing the hot fix

      * hpuxrfc.tar
             the replacement tar file containing the hot fix

      * sol2rfc.tar
             the replacement tar file containing the hot fix

      * K900219.si1
             the replacement file containing the hot fix

      * R900219.si1
             the replacement file containing the hot fix

      * K900138.si2
             the replacement file containing the hot fix

      * R900138.si2
             the replacement file containing the hot fix

      * K900051.si2
             the replacement file containing the hot fix

      * R900051.si2
             the replacement file containing the hot fix

      * ntsasrfc.exe
             the replacement executable containing the hot fix

      * 82r301wn.aud
             a hot fix identifier file that will allow Technical Support
             to determine which fixes have been applied to a system

      * 82r301wn.txt
             a copy of these installation instructions; this file is installed
             in !SASROOT\core\sasinst\hotfix 




This completes the installation of hot fix 82R301 on Windows.
