Using the RESTORE Command The RESTORE command can be used for restoring diagrams that have become corrupted. This patch must be installed for this command to work. Furthermore, the RESTORE command only applies to diagrams that have been worked on and saved since installing this patch. If, upon opening a diagram, you notice that it has become corrupted (such as missing some nodes), type the following command in the SAS Command box at the upper left corner of your SAS Session window: RESTORE This will open a window displaying archived versions of the diagram, starting from the most recent. NOTE: If no archives exist, this command will fail. Archives only exist for diagrams which have been saved since applying this patch. Select the first archive file (it is highlighted by default) and click the "OK" button. If this fails to properly restore the diagram, try the RESTORE command again, this time selecting the second archive file. If that fails, try it again with the third archive file. A maximum of three archives are maintained for each diagram. Restoring diagrams that fail to open If a diagram cannot be opened, then there is a second command that can be used: 1. Exit Enterprise Miner 2. type AF C=SASHELP.DM.RESTORE.FRAME in the SAS Command Box. A window will open allowing you to select the diagram from your Windows directory. Once selected, a list of archives will appear in the box below. As in the screen described above, select an archive and click on "Restore" button. 3. Re-start Enterprise Miner and open the diagram. If the diagram still fails to open, repeat step 2, this time selecting the next archive in the list.
