INSTALLATION INSTRUCTIONS FOR HOT FIX 23CH02 ON WINDOWS

for SAS Release 6.12


BEFORE DOWNLOADING:


The hot fix 23CH02 addresses issues in Release 2.3 of IT Charge Manager  
Software on Windows as documented in SAS Note(s):

      SN-006913  WARNING: Apparent symbolic reference SLIST not resolved
      SN-005314  Missing %MEND generates error in IT Charge Manager
      SN-006915  IT Charge Manager drill down report may not display and
                 generate errors in the SASLOG
      SN-006917  The description of the customer name key length is incorrect
                 in IT Charge Manager
      SN-006921  Generated code for Exclude rate model via Rate Model Customer 
                 Assignment window is not valid in IT Charge Manager
      SN-006923  Generated code for the currency specification for rate models is 
                 not set properly in IT Charge Manager
      SN-006931  ERROR: Value 2 on SELECT clause does not match the data 
                 type of the corresponding column listed after the INSERT table name
      SN-006936  If a new rate model is added into IT Charge Manager, and the name 
                 of the rate model is longer than 7 characters, the Rate Model Selection 
                 window does not display it
      SN-006937  Invalid invoice dates are created in IT Charge Manager if the calendar 
                 Accounting Year is set to greater than 2006 
      SN-006938  Clone selection entry does not work properly in the IT Charge Manager 
                 Debit and Credit Entry window
      SN-006940  The standard invoice job in IT Charge Manager generates incorrect 
                 formats for variables E0CURR and CUSTCURR
      SN-006941  Macro variable LBLCCHGE is not resolved when running the standard 
                 invoice job and using the multicurrency setting
      SN-007247  New observations added to existing IT Charge Manager PDB "E" tables 
                 have invalid starting invoice dates
      SN-008227  IT Charge Manager does not work correctly with releases of z/OS

IMPORTANT NOTE(S):

1.  You must have IT Charge Manager Software, Release 2.3 and
    SAS, Release 6.12 installed on your system or server 
    before applying this hot fix. 


AFTER DOWNLOADING:

The hot fix package downloaded is a zip file named 23ch02_612.zip from
which the following files will be installed: 

      * fixwiz.sc2
    
      * fixcum.sc2

      * fixrecrd.sd2

      * fixDate.sd2


NOTE:  Please make a backup copy your ITCM site libraries and PDB libraries 
       before applying the maintenance package.


Installation steps: 

1. Unzip the fix pack and copy the four SAS files to your prefix.ECLIB library.  
   For SAS 6.12, ECLIB library is typically 

      drive:\[SAS Install Path]\addon\CPE\CHM\EC\ECLIB.

2. Launch IT Charge Manager.  Click on the EXIT button at the 
   "Welcome to IT Charge Manager" window.  Select "Exit IT Charge Manager Only" item
   from the popup menu.

3. Type 'af c=eclib.fixwiz.main.scl' (no quotes) in the command line box and press Enter to 
   execute the command.

4. Follow the instructions from the IT Charge Manager Maintenance Package wizard.

5. Exit out of IT Charge Manager.  Future launches of the system will use the 
   applied fixes.  

6. Launch IT Charge Manager again.

7. From Site Selection frame, click the open selected site button. 
   A window will briefly appear indicating "Applying Maintenance".

8. Repeat step 7 for each site administered.


This completes the installation of hot fix 23CH02 on Windows.
