INSTALLATION INSTRUCTIONS FOR HOT FIX 36SRMSA01 ON SOLARIS 64 BIT

BEFORE DOWNLOADING:

The hot fix 36SRMSA01 addresses the issue(s) in Supplier Relationship 
Management - SRM Spend Analysis 3.6 as documented in the "Issue(s)
Addressed" section of the hot fix download page: 
   http://ftp.sas.com/techsup/download/hotfix/srmsa36.html#36srmsa01 


IMPORTANT NOTE(S):
1.  You must have SRM Spend Analysis 3.6 installed on your system before
    applying this hot fix.
2.  It is always recommended that a backup of the original files be made
    whenever deploying any patch.
3.  You must have Administrator Privileges on your CLIENT or SERVER machine,
    and all currently active sessions must be terminated before applying this
    hot fix. 

AFTER DOWNLOADING:

The hot fix package downloaded is in tar format, and is named 36srmsa01s6.tar.  
This file contains the scripts and supporting files to update the SAS Spend 
Analysis Mid-Tier. 


Prerequisites:

1.  SAS Spend Analysis 3.6 is installed.
2.  Follow these instructions only if the SAS Spend Analysis Mid-Tier is on
    Solaris 64 bit.
3.  A JDK must be installed and available for this step.  The JAVA_HOME variable also
    has to be set.
4. Stop the SRM Spend Analysis application.


Pre-Installation Note:
This hot fix should be installed on the SAS Spend Analysis Mid-Tier.

Installation Instructions:

1.  Make sure Ant 1.6 is available on your system.  If you do not have Ant installed, 
you can download and install Ant 1.6 from http://ant.apache.org/.  You can execute 
the following command to ensure Ant is available:
        ant -version

NOTE:  The JAVA_HOME variable has to be set for the ant script to work.


2. Extract the contents of the downloaded file, 36srmsa01s6.tar, into a temporary 
directory. 

Assuming the tar file is downloaded to the user's HOME directory, follow
these steps to install the package.
	> cd /tmp
	> tar -xf $HOME/36srmsa016.tar

where $HOME is the location of the downloaded tar file.
     
This will create 3 files in the temporary directory (/tmp/s64):
	setup.jar
	media.inf
	Setup_Solaris_Sparc

Change the permission of Setup_Solaris_Sparc:
	cd s64
	chmod +x Setup_Solaris_Sparc

Execute the file Setup_Solaris_Sparc.

This will update the files sas.solutions.srm.spendanalysis.jar and TableViewer.jsp,
and create srmspend_hf.xml.

      
3. Configure the Mid-Tier
Execute the ant script srmspend_hf.xml as described below.

Change directory to <ant_install_dir>\bin

Execute the command to configure the application:
	ant - f <srm_install_dir>\SpendAnalysis\Config\srmspend_hf.xml
	-Dconfig.dir=<installed_plan_dir> -Dinstall.dir=<srm_install_dir>
	-Dtemp.dir=<temp_location> 


NOTE:  A log file is created in the 
<srm_install_dir>\SpendAnalysis location. Check this file for errors and ensure 
that the ant script has executed successfully.   Also confirm that new 
sas.solutions.srm.spendanalysis.war file is created in the 
<srm_install_dir>\SpendAnalysis directory.  Check that the timestamp on the file 
corresponds to the date/time when the command was executed.


4. Deploy the Mid-Tier
Copy the war file  
<installed_plan_dir>\Lev1\web\webapps\sas.solutions.srm.spendanalysis.war
to your application server and deploy it in the server.  Re-start the SAS Services 
application and restart the Application Server.

NOTE: 
Before deploying in Weblogic, delete the folder sas.solutions.srm.spendanalysis on 
your web application server deployment location.

To deploy in Weblogic, copy the following exploded war folder to your web application 
server's deployment folder and deploy it in the server: 
<installed_plan_dir>\Lev1\web\webapps\exploded\sas.solutions.srm.spendanalysis.war

After deploying in Tomcat, delete the work folder before restarting Tomcat. 



This completes the installation of hot fix 36SRMSA01 for Solaris 64 bit.
