INSTALLATION INSTRUCTIONS FOR HOT FIX 30SRMSA01 ON HPUX FOR ITANIUM


BEFORE DOWNLOADING:

The hot fix 30SRMSA01 addresses the issue(s) in Release 3.0 of SAS Supplier Relationship 
Management Spend Analysis software on HPUX for Itanium as documented in the "Issue(s) 
Addressed" section of the hot fix download page:

IMPORTANT NOTE(S):

1.  You must have SAS Supplier Relationship Management Spend Analysis Release 3.0 
    installed on your system before applying this hot fix.

2.  You must have SAS 9.1.3 Service Pack 2 installed on your system before 
    applying this hot fix.

3.  The installer must be run under the same userid who performed the SAS 9.1.3
    installation.



INSTALLATION:

The hot fix package downloaded is a tar file named 30srmsa01hx.tar.  


STEP 1:  Downlod Ant 1.6 from the Ant Apache website 

Since it will be needed later in the installation of this hot fix, first download
Ant 1.6 from http://ant.apache.org/.


STEP 2:  Extract the contents of the downloaded file

Extract the contents of the tar file downloaded into a temporary directory, for 
example /tmp.

         $> cd /tmp/

         $> tar -xf $HOME/30srmsa01hx.tar

    where $HOME is the location to where the tar file was downloaded.

This will create a directory called 30srmsa01_h6i in the current working directory; this
directory will contain 3 files:

         Setup_HPUX_IA64  
         media.inf            
         setup.jar


STEP 3:  Initiate the installation wizard

         $>  export DISPLAY=<nodename>:0             <==== set your display

         $>  cd /tmp/30srmsa01_h6i 

         $>  ./Setup_HPUX_IA64  

This will initiate the InstallShield Wizard.  Follow the prompts to complete the
installation.


STEP 4:  Run the ant scripts installed in STEP 3

Run the ant scripts installed in STEP 3 by running the following command


   ant -f <antscript_file> -Dconfig.dir=<CONFIGDIR> -Dtemp.dir=<TEMPDIR> -DSAS_HOME=<SAS_HOME> -DDOCLOC=<DOCLOC>


where 

     <antscript_file> is the ant script to execute (eg. srmspend_sp.xml)

     <CONFIGDIR> is the path to the Configuration Directory (eg. C:\SAS\SRM1Tier or $HOME/SAS/SRM1Tier)

     <TEMPDIR> is a path to a temporary directory for temp files

     <SAS_HOME> is the path to where all your SAS products are installed (eg. C:\Program Files\SAS or /usr/local/SAS)

     <DOCLOC> is the path to your SAS Documentation location (eg. C:\Program Files\SAS\Documentation\9.1 or /usr/local/SAS/Documentation/9.1)

 
STEP 5: Re-deploy the ear and/or war files generated in STEP 4.

Re-start the Application Server.


STEP 6: Clean up


    Remove the /tmp/30srmsa01_h6i directory and it's contents.



This completes the installation of hotfix 30SRMSA01 on HPUX FOR ITANIUM.
