INSTALLATION INSTRUCTIONS FOR HOT FIX 913SMC02 ON WINDOWS BEFORE DOWNLOADING: The hot fix 913SMC02 addresses the issue(s) in 9.1.3 of SAS Management Console software on Windows as documented in the "Issue(s) Addressed" section of the hot fix download page: http://ftp.sas.com/techsup/download/hotfix/smc913.html#913smc02 IMPORTANT NOTE(S): 1. You must have SAS 9.1.3 (9.1 TS1M3) and SAS 9.1.3 Service Pack 4 installed on your system before applying this hot fix. 2. You must have Administrator Privileges on your CLIENT or SERVER machine and all currently active SAS sessions must be terminated before applying this hot fix. 3. Additional requirements are SAS Foundation Services (BI Manager) 1.4. To determine the version of BI Manager Installed on your system, go into the SAS Management Console and click on the root node of BI Manager and select 'About' for Implementation Version 1.4.0.0.20060626.74052. 4. Manual steps are necessary to complete the installation of this hotfix after download and installation. Please read all instruction below. AFTER DOWNLOADING: The hot fix package downloaded is a self extracting executable named 913smc02wn.exe. To install this hotfix 1. Launch the executable, which will initiate a Java install wizard and will guide you through the extraction of the updated components. 2. To verify the installation of the hot fix confirm that the file(s) in the location(s) below have been updated to the level indicated by the date provided: \SASManagementConsole\9.1\sas.framework.workspace.jar Date: 06\13\06 (EST) \SASManagementConsole\9.1\sas.dbuilder.util.jar Date: 02\27\07 (EST) \SASManagementConsole\9.1\sas.smc.jar Date: 06\13\06 (EST) \SASManagementConsole\9.1\plugins\sas.smc.datalibmgr.jar Date: 06\13\06 (EST) MANUAL STEPS: * Bring up SMC and login as an administrator or unrestricted user * Expand the Metadata Manager. * Select the Resource Templates node. The resource templates should display on the right hand side of the window. * Find the template called "OLAP Server" --> Check the locale if "English" and "German" (for example) is installed * RMB on the template and selecte Delete. Or select the template and then select Delete from the Edit pull-down menu. Click OK in the confirmation window that appears. --> delete both templates when two languages are installed. * RMB on the Resource Templates node and select Add Resource Template. Or select the Resource Templates node and select Add Resource Template from the Actions pull-down menu. * In the wizard, select Typical and then select Next. * In the tree of templates, expand Servers -> SAS Servers -> SAS Application Server Components. Find the OLAP Server template and select it. Click Next. * Select Locales, by default English (United States) resource template will be added. Click Next. * Click Finish in the Finish panel to load the template
