INSTALLATION INSTRUCTIONS FOR HOT FIX 36SDQ02 ON WINDOWS BEFORE DOWNLOADING: The hot fix 36SDQ02 addresses the issue(s) in SAS Sourcing Data Quality 3.6 as documented in the "Issue(s) Addressed" section of the hot fix download page: http://ftp.sas.com/techsup/download/hotfix/sdq36.html#36sdq02 IMPORTANT NOTE(S): 1. You must have SAS Sourcing Data Quality 3.6 installed on your system before applying this hot fix. 2. It is always recommended that a backup of the original files be made whenever deploying any patch. 3. You must have Administrator Privileges on your CLIENT or SERVER machine, and all currently active sessions must be terminated before applying this hot fix. AFTER DOWNLOADING: The hot fix package downloaded is a self extracting executable named 36sdq02wn.exe. This executable contains the scripts and supporting files to update the Sourcing Data Quality Mid tier. Prerequisites: 1. SAS Sourcing Data Quality 3.6 is installed. 2. Follow these instructions only if the SAS Sourcing Data Quality Mid-Tier is on Windows. 3. A JDK must be installed and available for this step. The JAVA_HOME variable also has to be set. Pre-Installation Note: This hot fix should be installed on the SAS Sourcing Data Quality Mid-tier. When deploying the SDQ hot fix in WebLogic, undeploy the web applications sas.solutions.sdq.app and sas.solutions.sdq.core. Installation Instructions: 1. Make sure Ant 1.6 is available on your system. If you do not have Ant installed, you can download and install Ant 1.6 from http://ant.apache.org/. You can execute the following command to ensure Ant is available: ant -version NOTE: The JAVA_HOME variable has to be set for the ant script to work. 2. If you are installing the hot fix via a terminal server (i.e. you are using Remote Desktop to install the hot fix), the vpd.properties file in your user home directory on that machine must match the one in c:\WINNT or c:\WINDOWS (depending on your version of Windows OS). If it doesn't, simply copy c:\winnt\vpd.properties to c:\Document and Settings\\windows\vpd.properties. 3. Run the hot fix installer, 36sdq02wn.exe. This will initiate the installation wizard and guide you through the setup process to install the updated files. The setup process will install the updated files to the SAS Sourcing Data Quality Mid-Tier location, i.e. !SASHOME\SASSourcingDataQuality\3.6\CommodityClassification The files installed are: !SASHOME\SASSourcingDataQuality\3.6\CommodityClassification\sas.solutions.sdq.app\WEB-INF\app\lib\sas.solutions.sdq.app.jar !SASHOME\SASSourcingDataQuality\3.6\CommodityClassification\sas.solutions.sdq.core\WEB-INF\lib\sas.solutions.sdq.core.jar 4. Configure the Mid-Tier Execute the ant script srmccjclient_hf.xml as described below. Change directory to \bin Execute the command to configure the application: ant - f \CommodityClassification\Config\srmccjclient_hf.xml -Dconfig.dir= -Dinstall.dir= -Dtemp.dir= For example: ant -f C:\progra~1\SAS\SASSourcingDataQuality\3.6\CommodityClassification\Config\srmccjclient_hf.xml -Dconfig.dir=C:\SAS\SASSolutionsConfig -Dinstall.dir=C:\progra~1\SAS -Dtemp.dir=c:\temp NOTE: A log file is created in the \CommodityClassification location. Check this file for errors and ensure that the ant script has executed successfully. Also confirm that new sas.solutions.sdq.app.war and sas.solutions.sdq.core.war files are created in the \srmccjclient directory. Check that the timestamp on the file corresponds to the date/time when the command was executed. 5. Deploy the Mid-Tier Copy the war files \Lev1\web\webapps\sas.solutions.sdq.app.war and \Lev1\web\webapps\sas.solutions.sdq.core.war to your web application server and deploy it in the server. Re-start the SAS Services application and restart the Application Server. NOTE: Before deploying in Weblogic, delete the folders sas.solutions.sdq.app and sas.solutions.sdq.core on your web application server. To deploy in Weblogic, copy the following folders (exploded war) to your web application server and deploy it in the server: \Lev1\web\webapps\exploded\sas.solutions.sdq.app.war \Lev1\web\webapps\exploded\sas.solutions.sdq.core.war. After deploying in Tomcat, delete the work folder before restarting Tomcat. This completes the installation of the hot fix 36SDQ02 for Windows.
