INSTALLATION INSTRUCTIONS FOR HOT FIX 35SDQ01 ON WINDOWS BEFORE DOWNLOADING: The hot fix 35SDQ01 addresses the issue(s) in SAS Sourcing Data Quality 3.5 as documented in the "Issue(s) Addressed" section of the hot fix download page: http://ftp.sas.com/techsup/download/hotfix/sdq35.html#35sdq01 IMPORTANT NOTE(S): 1. You must have SAS Sourcing Data Quality 3.5 installed on your system before applying this hot fix. 2. It is always recommended that a backup of the original files be made whenever deploying any patch. 3. You must have Administrator Privileges on your CLIENT or SERVER machine, and all currently active sessions must be terminated before applying this hot fix. 4. This download is intended for customers running a Windows server. It contains all pieces necessary for the mid-tier and client downloads as well. AFTER DOWNLOADING: The hot fix package downloaded is a self extracting executable named 35sdq01wn.exe. This executable contains the scripts and supporting files to update the Sourcing Data Quality Server, Mid tier and Clients. To install this hot fix, follow these steps: 1. Since it will be needed later in the installation of this hot fix, first download Ant 1.6 from http://ant.apache.org/ 2. Launch 35sdq01wn.exe. This installer can be launched on any machine, and will extract three individual hot fixes into C:\35sdq01. Each individual hot fix installer then needs to be copied to the appropriate machine where the components to be updated are installed. The three individual hot fixes extracted and the machine that they should be copied to are: 35sdq01srmsrcdqualwn.exe contains SAS Sourcing Data Quality Server updates should be executed on the Server running on Windows 35sdq01srmccjclientwn.exe contains SAS Sourcing Data Quality Mid-Tier updates should be executed on the Mid-Tier running on Windows 35sdq01srmccetlwn.exe contains SAS Sourcing Data Quality 3.5 - ETL Admin client updates should be executed on each individual client machine 3. Use the instructions below to update the individual components that are applicable to your implementation. Installing 35sdq01srmsrcdqualwn.exe ----------------------------------- Prerequisites: 1. SAS Sourcing Data Quality 3.5 is installed. Pre-Installation Note: This hot fix should be installed on the SAS Sourcing Data Quality Server tier. Installation Instructions: 1. Launch 35sdq01srmsrcdqualwn.exe. This will initiate the install wizard, which will guide you through the setup process. The setup process will install the updated sasmacr catalog to C:\Program Files\SAS\SAS 9.1\srmsrcdqual\cmacros. If this file already exists on your system, it will be backed up with a .000 extension. Installing 35sdq01srmccjclientwn.exe ------------------------------------ Prerequisites: 1. SAS Sourcing Data Quality 3.5 is installed. 2. Follow these instructions only if the SAS Sourcing Data Quality Mid-Tier is on Windows. 3. A JDK must be installed and available for this step. The JAVA_HOME variable also has to be set. Pre-Installation Note: This hot fix should be installed on the SAS Sourcing Data Quality Mid-tier. Installation Instructions: 1. Make sure Ant 1.6 is available on your system. If you do not have Ant installed, you can download and install Ant 1.6 from http://ant.apache.org/. You can execute the following command to ensure Ant is available: ant -version NOTE: The JAVA_HOME variable has to be set for the ant script to work. 2. Run the hot fix installer, 35sdq01srmccjclientwn.exe. This will initiate the installation wizard and guide you through the setup process to install the updated files. The setup process will install the updated files to the SAS Sourcing Data Quality Mid-Tier location, i.e. !SASHOME\SASSourcingDataQuality\3.5\ The files installed are: sas.solutions.sdq.app.jar sas.solutions.sdq.core.jar SampleData_inlp.jsp srmccjclient_hf.xml 3. Configure the Mid-Tier Execute the ant script srmccjclient_hf.xml as described below. Change directory to \bin Execute the command to configure the application: ant - f \CommodityClassification\Config\srmccjclient_hf.xml -Dconfig.dir= -Dinstall.dir= -Dtemp.dir= NOTE: A log file is created in the \CommodityClassification location. Check this file for errors and ensure that the ant script has executed successfully. Also confirm that a new sas.solutions.srm.srmccjclient.war file is created in the \srmccjclient directory. Check that the timestamp on the file corresponds to the date/time when the command was executed. 4. Deploy the Mid-Tier Copy the war file \Lev1\web\webapps\sas.solutions.srm.srmccjclient.war to your web application server and deploy it in the server. Re-start the SAS Services application and restart the Application Server. NOTE: Before deploying in Weblogic, delete the folder sas.solutions.srm.srmccjclient on your web application server. To deploy in Weblogic, copy the following folder (exploded war) to your web application server and deploy it in the server: \Lev1\web\webapps\exploded\sas.solutions.srm.srmccjclient.war. After deploying in Tomcat, delete the work folder before restarting Tomcat. Installing 35sdq01srmccetlwn.exe -------------------------------- Prerequisites: 1. SAS Sourcing Data Quality 3.5 is installed. Pre-Installation Note: This hot fix should be installed on the SAS Sourcing Data Quality 3.5 - ETL Admin client. Installation Instructions: 1. Launch 35sdq01srmccetlwn.exe. This will initiate the install wizard, which will guide you through the setup process. The setup process will install the updated files to the SAS Sourcing Data Quality 3.5 - ETL Admin clients, i.e. C:\Program Files\SAS\SASSourcingDataQuality\3.5\ETLAdmin The files installed include: createClassSyst10Levels.xml createSchemesAndVocabs.xml createMasterRefFiles.xml loadItemMatches1of2.xml loadItemMatches2of2.xml Any of these files that already exist on your system will be backed up with a .000 extension. 2. Verify that the following folders are updated: !SASHOME\SASSourcingDataQuality\3.5\ETLAdmin\ETL\TransformXML !SASHOME\SASSourcingDataQuality\3.5\ETLAdmin\ETL\JobXML 3 updated files should be copied to the TransformXML folder. 2 updated files should be copied to the JobXML folder. 3. These steps update the SampleData datamart. If there are multiple marts present in the system, then the steps given below should be executed for all marts. Launch SAS ETL Studio on the client tier. Open the metadata profile created for the repository SampleData. In the Inventory tab, expand the Jobs folder. Delete the following jobs: a. loadItemMatches1of2.xml b. loadItemMatches2of2.xml In the Process Library tab, expand the SDQ Transformations folder. Delete the following transforms: a. Create Classification System ( 10 Levels ) b. Create Schemes and Vocabs c. Create Master Reference Files Select the option Transformation Importer from the Tools menu. Add the following transforms from /SASSourcingDataQuality/3.5/ETLAdmin/ETL/TransformXML: a. Create Classification System ( 10 Levels ) b. Create Schemes and Vocabs c. Create Master Reference Files Select the option Tools/Job Imports and Merge Wizard and import the following jobs from /SASSourcingDataQuality/3.5/ETLAdmin/ETL/JobXML: a. loadItemMatches1of2.xml b. loadItemMatches2of2.xml This completes the installation of the hot fix 35SDQ01 for Windows.
