7.0 Platform Grid Management Service Patch 70pgms01 for Solaris 64bit



Before Downloading:
This document contains the information needed to install the Platform Process 
Manager Patch that addresses the issue documented in SAS sasnote 36782
(http://support.sas.com/kb/36/782.html).  


Important note:
You must be logged in as lsfadmin to install this patch successfully.


Installation details:

1. Go to http://ftp.sas.com/techsup/download/hotfix/platformpatch.html and 
download 70pgms01s6.tar.Z.  If the UNIX machine does not have Internet access, 
download the file to a machine that does have access, and copy it to your 
UNIX server. 

2. Extract the contents of the downloaded file:
uncompress -c 70pgms01s6.tar  |  tar -xf -

The contents of the tar file, gabd7.0_sparc-sol10-64 will be placed in the 
70pgms01 subdirectory.  

3. Stop the current gabd7.0_sparc-sol10-64 (gaadmin stop) in <LSF_HOME>/gms/etc.

4. Create a backup version of <LSF_HOME>/gms/etc/gabd7.0_sparc-eol10-64

5. Copy ~/70pgms01/gabd7.0_sparc-sol10-64 to <LSF_HOME>/gms/etc 

6. Enable the parameter GA_PAM_ENABLE=Y in ga.conf file

7. Restart the gabd7.0_sparc-sol10-64 (gaadmin start).

If this doesn't work, stop the gabd7.0_sparc-sol10-64 again (gaadmin stop), enable
the parameter GA_PAM_SERVICE=eauth_userpass in ga.conf, and restart
the gabd7.0_sparc-sol10-64 (gaadmin start).
 

This completes the installation of the platform patch 70pgms01 on Solaris 64bit.
