INSTALLATION INSTRUCTIONS FOR HOT FIX 321ORV03 ON WINDOWS


BEFORE DOWNLOADING:

The hot fix 321ORV03 addresses the issue(s) in 3.2.1 of SAS OpRisk VaR
software on Windows as documented in the "Issue(s) Addressed" section of
the hot fix download page:

IMPORTANT NOTE(S):

1.  You must have SAS OpRisk VaR 3.2.1 installed on your 
    system before applying this hot fix.

2.  It is recommended that the Hot Fix be installed using the same userid who 
    performed the SAS 9.1.3 installation.

3.  You must have Administrator Privileges on your CLIENT or SERVER machine
    and all currently active SAS sessions, daemons, spawners and servers must 
    be terminated before applying this hot fix.

4. Manual steps many be necessary to complete the installation, please see 
   Post-Installation steps below. 



AFTER HOTFIX DOWNLOAD

1.  Launch the executable, 321ORV03wn.exe, will guide you through the extraction
of the updated components.  

The components to be installed are: 
 
SAS OpRisk VaR Macro Updates	.sas file listed below

The macro updates (.sas files) will not overwrite macros in your 
<sasroot>\orvar\ucmacros environment that have a date greater than the hot fix 
macro date.  At the end of the installation, review the Hot Fix Information box for 
macros that did not copy (File Not Copied).  

2.  To verify the installation of the hot fix confirm that the file in the location
below has been updated to the level indicated by the date provided:

	 
      <sasroot>\orvar\ucmacros\orvr_fitting.sas
	 Date: 09/17/08  (EST)
	


POST INSTALLATION STEPS:


 The installation renames existing SAS macros replaced by the hot fix in 
 <sasroot>\orvar\ucmacros with a *.sas.000 extension.  This is for your convenience
 and serves as a backup in the event site specific changes were made to existing 
 macros.


This completes the installation of Hot Fix 321ORV03.
