Locate the -sashelp option in the config file and change it as follows: The default -sashelp option in the sasv9.cfg file appears as: -sashelp ( '!SASROOT/nls/en/sascfg' '!SASROOT/sashelp' ) This should be amended to appear as: -sashelp ( '!SASROOT/hotfix/sashelp' '!SASROOT/nls/en/sascfg' '!SASROOT/sashelp' ) The path !SASROOT/hotfix/sashelp must appear first. Please be extremely careful not to modify existing paths in the current -sashelp configuration option. STEP 4: Update the NLS sasv9.cfg file based on the SAS locale and encoding you have installed on your system. If you have the Japanese locale with the primary encoding installed, locate the -sashelp option in the !SASROOT/nls/ja/sasv9.cfg file and change it as follows: The default -sashelp option in the sasv9.cfg file appears as: -insert sashelp ( '!SASROOT/nls/ja/sascfg' '!SASROOT/nls/ja/sashelp') This should be amended to appear as: -insert sashelp ( '!SASROOT/nls/ja/hotfix/sashelp' '!SASROOT/nls/ja/sascfg' '!SASROOT/nls/ja/sashelp') The paths !SASROOT/nls/ja/hotfix/sashelp and !SASROOT/hotfix/sashelp must appear in the first and second position. If you have the Japanese locale with the secondary encoding installed, locate the -sashelp option in the !SASROOT/nls/ja.euc/sasv9.cfg file and change it as follows: The default -sashelp option in the sasv9.cfg file appears as: -insert sashelp ('!SASROOT/nls/ja.euc/sascfg' '!SASROOT/nls/ja.euc/sashelp') This should be amended to appear as: -insert sashelp ( '!SASROOT/nls/ja.euc/hotfix/sashelp' '!SASROOT/nls/ja.euc/sascfg' '!SASROOT/nls/ja.euc/sashelp') The paths !SASROOT/nls/ja.euc/hotfix/sashelp and !SASROOT/hotfix/sashelp must appear in the first and second position. Please be extremely careful not to modify existing paths in the current -sashelp configuration option. STEP 5: Execute the script that will update the hot fix installation history file.
