You must have SAS 9.1.3 (9.1 TS1M3) and SAS 9.1.3 Service Pack 3 or higher installed on your system before applying this hot fix. 2 You must have SAS Enterprise Miner 5.2 installed on your system before applying this hot fix. 3. All currently active SAS sessions, spawners and servers must be terminated before applying this hot fix. FILE INFORMATION: The hot fix package that is downloaded is in compressed tar format. The name of the tar file is d9dt06lx.tar.Z, and it contains the following updated files: * emmdfy.sas7bcat.d9dt06 the replacement catalog containing the hot fix * emmdfy.sas7bcat a link to emmdfy.sas7bcat.d9dt06 * emfunc.sas7bcat.d9dt06 the replacement catalog containing the hot fix * emfunc.sas7bcat a link to emfunc.sas7bcat.d9dt06 * emcore.sas7bcat.d9dt06 the replacement catalog containing the hot fix * emcore.sas7bcat a link to emcore.sas7bcat.d9dt06 * textsyn.sas the replacement autocall containing the hot fix * emassmt.sas7bcat.d9dt06 the replacement catalog containing the hot fix * emassmt.sas7bcat a link to emassmt.sas7bcat.d9dt06 * emutil.sas7bcat.d9dt06 the replacement catalog containing the hot fix * emutil.sas7bcat a link to emutil.sas7bcat.d9dt06 * d9dt06lx.aud a hot fix identifier file that will allow Technical Support to determine which fixes have been applied to a system * d9dt06lx.txt a copy of these installation instructions; this file is installed in !SASROOT/hotfix/doc INSTALLATION STEPS: In these instructions, the directory where SAS 9.1.3 (9.1 TS1M3) is installed is: /usr/lib/sas913 STEP 1: Back up the existing version of textsyn.sas before extracting the contents of this hot fix. $> cd /usr/lib/sas913 $> cp sasautos/textsyn.sas sasautos/textsyn.sas.bak STEP 2: Assuming the compressed tar file is downloaded to the user's HOME directory, follow these procedures to install the package. $> cd /usr/lib/sas913 $> uncompress -c $HOME/d9dt06lx.tar | tar -xf - STEP 3: Once the tar command is complete, it is necessary to edit the config file, !SASROOT/sasv9.cfg. Locate the -sashelp option in the config file and change it as follows: The default -sashelp option in the sasv9.cfg file appears as: -sashelp ( '!SASROOT/nls/en/sascfg' '!SASROOT/sashelp' ) This should be amended to appear as: -sashelp ( '!SASROOT/hotfix/sashelp' '!SASROOT/nls/en/sascfg' '!SASROOT/sashelp' ) The path !SASROOT/hotfix/sashelp must appear first. Please be extremely careful not to modify existing paths in the current -sashelp configuration option. STEP 4: Update the NLS sasv9.cfg file based on the SAS locale and encoding you have installed on your system. If you have the Japanese locale with the primary encoding installed, locate the -sashelp option in the !SASROOT/nls/ja/sasv9.cfg file and change it as follows: The default -sashelp option in the sasv9.cfg file appears as: -insert sashelp ('!SASROOT/nls/ja/sascfg' '!SASROOT/nls/ja/sashelp') This should be amended to appear as: -insert sashelp ( '!SASROOT/nls/ja/hotfix/sashelp' '!SASROOT/nls/ja/sascfg' '!SASROOT/nls/ja/sashelp') The paths !SASROOT/nls/ja/hotfix/sashelp and !SASROOT/hotfix/sashelp must appear in the first and second position. If you have the Japanese locale with the secondary encoding installed, locate the -sashelp option in the !SASROOT/nls/ja.sjis/sasv9.cfg file and change it as follows: The default -sashelp option in the sasv9.cfg file appears as: -insert sashelp ( '!SASROOT/nls/ja.sjis/sascfg' '!SASROOT/nls/ja.sjis/sashelp' ) This should be amended to appear as: -insert sashelp ( '!SASROOT/nls/ja.sjis/hotfix/sashelp' '!SASROOT/nls/ja.sjis/sascfg' '!SASROOT/nls/ja.sjis/sashelp' ) The paths !SASROOT/nls/ja.sjis/hotfix/sashelp and !SASROOT/hotfix/sashelp must appear in the first and second position. Please be extremely careful not to modify existing paths in the current -sashelp configuration option. STEP 5: Execute the script that will update the hot fix installation history file. This script MUST be executed from the !SASROOT directory. $> pwd /usr/lib/sas913 $> install/admin/hotfix/histupd_d9dt06 This completes the installation of hot fix D9DT06 on Linux for Intel.
