INSTALLATION INSTRUCTIONS FOR HOT FIX 531JB05 ON SOLARIS 64BIT


BEFORE DOWNLOADING:

The hot fix 531JB05 addresses the issue(s) in 5.31 of Platform JobScheduler 
on Solaris 64bit as documented in the "Issue(s) Addressed" section of the hot
fix download page:

The file downloaded is 

   jfd5.31_solaris7-32.Z



IMPORTANT NOTE(S):

1.  You must have Platform JobScheduler for SAS 5.31 installed on your 
    system before applying this hot fix.

2.  The Job Scheduler Server must be stopped before applying this hot fix.



AFTER DOWNLOADING:

STEP 1:  

Back up the current jfd executable.


STEP 2:  

Uncompress and place the new jfd in the appropriate location.

        $> uncompress jfd5.31_solaris7-32.Z

        $> mv jfd5.31_solaris7-32  <JS_TOP>/5.31/etc/jfd

where <JS_TOP> is the root directory of the JobScheduler install.


STEP 3: 

Make sure the name, owner, and permission is the same as the original.


STEP 4: 

Restart the jfd.



This completes the installation of hot fix 531JB05.
