INSTALLATION INSTRUCTIONS FOR HOT FIX 913JPS04 ON WINDOWS BEFORE DOWNLOADING: The hot fix 913JPS04 addresses the issue(s) in 9.1.3 of SAS Foundation Services software on Windows as documented in the "Issue(s) Addressed" section of the hot fix download page: http://ftp.sas.com/techsup/download/hotfix/jps913.html#913jps04 IMPORTANT NOTE(S): 1. You should have SAS Foundation Services Release 1.1 installed on your system before the hotfix will update Foundation Services locations. 2. You must have SAS 9.1.3 Service Pack 2 installed on your system before applying this hot fix. 3. It is recommended that the hotfix be installed using the same userid who performed the SAS 9.1.3 installation. AFTER DOWNLOADING: The hot fix package downloaded is a self extracting executable named 913JPS04wn.exe. Launching the executable will initiate a Java install wizard, which will guide you through the extraction of the updated components (sas.svc.connection.platform.jar, and sas.svc.events.jar). * 913jps04.exe Java installation file containing replacement modules below : sas.svc.connection.platform.jar sas.svc.events.jar These files will not only be updated in SASHOME\SASFoundationServices locations but also to C:\913JPS04 to faciliate any necessary copying required for adequate re-deployment of web applications. MANUAL INSTALLATION STEPS (After Installation Wizard Completes) For SAS Enterprise Solutions installations ------------------------------------------ To complete the installation of this hot fix on SAS Enterprise Solution installations, perform the following steps: ** For Sas.svc.connection.platform.jar:: Copy the sas.svc.connection.platform.jar file from SASHOME\SASFoundationServices\1.1\jars or from C:\913JPS04 in the event that SAS Foundation Service is not installed, and replace the jar file in SASHOME\SASSolutionsServices\1.1\RemoteServices\lib on the Mid Tier machine Copy the Sas.svc.connection.platform.jar file from SASHOME\SASFoundationServices\1.1\jars, or from C:\913JPS04 in the event that SAS Foundation Service is not installed, to the exploded configuration area for SPM on the Mid Tier machine: \SAS\SASSolutionsConfig\Lev1\web\webapps\exploded\sas.solutions.scorecard.ear\sas.solutions.spm.webapp.war\WEB-INF\lib ** For Sas.svc.events.jar: Copy the sas.svc.events.jar file from \SASHOME\SASFoundationServices\1.1\jars, or from C:\913JPS04 in the event that SAS Foundation Service is not installed, to each of the Solutions applications in their exploded configuration area on the Mid Tier machine: \SAS\SASSolutionsConfig\Lev1\web\webapps\exploded\sas.solutions.services.ear \SAS\SASSolutionsConfig\Lev1\web\webapps\exploded\sas.solutions.odcs.ear \SAS\SASSolutionsConfig\Lev1\web\webapps\exploded\sas.solutions.finance.ear \SAS\SASSolutionsConfig\Lev1\web\webapps\exploded\sas.workflow.ear \SAS\SASSolutionsConfig\Lev1\web\webapps\exploded\sas.solutions.scorecard.ear\sas.solutions.spm.webapp.war\WEB-INF\lib Copy the sas.svc.events.jar file from SASHOME\SASFoundationServices\1.1\jars or from C:\913JPS04 in the event that SAS Foundation Service is not installed, and replace the jar file in SASHOME\SASSolutionsServices\1.1\RemoteServices\lib on the Mid Tier machine On the Data Tier machine, update the sas.svc.events.jar file in SASHOME\SAS 9.1\soltnsdata\sasmisc with the updated jar that is available in SASHOME\SASFoundationServices\1.1\jars or from C:\913JPS04 in the event that SAS Foundation Service is not installed, on the Mid Tier machine. For other Foundation Services installations ------------------------------------------- To complete the installation of this hot fix on other Foundation Services installations, perform the following steps: Copy the updated files : sas.svc.connection.platform.jar, and sas.svc.events.jar, from SASHOME\SASFoundationServices\1.1\jars or C:\913JPS04 to the original Web applications WEB-INF/lib directory. Rebuild the .war file and redeploy Web application.
