INSTALLATION INSTRUCTIONS FOR HOT FIX 913JPS03 ON AIX 64BIT BEFORE DOWNLOADING: The hot fix 913JPS03 addresses the issue(s) in 9.1.3 of SAS Foundation Services software on AIX 64bit as documented in the "Issue(s) Addressed" section of the hot fix download page: http://ftp.sas.com/techsup/download/hotfix/jps913.html#913jps03 IMPORTANT NOTE(S): 1. You must have SAS Foundation Services 9.1.3 installed on your system before applying this hot fix. 2. You must have SAS 9.1.3 Service Pack 2 installed on your system before applying this hot fix. 3. The installer must be run under the same userid who performed the SAS 9.1.3 installation. INSTALLATION: The hot fix package downloaded is a tar file named 913jps03r6.tar. STEP 1: Extract the contents of the downloaded file Extract the contents of the tar file downloaded into a temporary directory, for example /tmp. $> cd /tmp/ $> tar -xf $HOME/913jps03r6.tar where $HOME is the location to where the tar file was downloaded. This will create a directory called 913jps03_r64 in the current working directory; this directory will contain 3 files: Setup_AIX_Power media.inf setup.jar STEP 2: Initiate the installation wizard $> export DISPLAY=:0 <==== set your display $> cd 913jps03_r64 $> ./Setup_AIX_Power This will initiate the InstallShield Wizard. Follow the prompts to complete the installation. STEP 3: After the installation wizard completes Copy the sas.svc.connection.platform.jar file from SASHOME/SASFoundationServices/1.1/jars to the original Web applications WEB-INF/lib directory. Copy the sas.svc.events.jar file from SASHOME/SASFoundationServices/1.1/jars to the original Web applications WEB-INF/lib directory. Rebuild the .war file and redeploy the application. (Please refer to specific product or solution documentation for more information on .war build/deployment) STEP 4: For SAS Enterprise Solutions Installations only, the following steps are needed For sas.svc.connection.platform.jar: Copy the sas.svc.connection.platform.jar file from SASHOME\SASFoundationServices\1.1\jars and replace the jar file in SASHOME\SASSolutionsServices\1.1\RemoteServices\lib on the Mid Tier machine Copy the sas.svc.events.jar file from SASHOME\SASFoundationServices\1.1\jars to the exploded configuration area for SPM on the Mid Tier machine: \SAS\SASSolutionsConfig\Lev1\web\webapps\exploded\sas.solutions.scorecard.ear\sas.solutions.spm.webapp.war\WEB-INF\lib For sas.svc.events.jar: Copy the sas.svc.events.jar file from SASHOME\SASFoundationServices\1.1\jars to each of the Solutions applications in their exploded configuration area on the Mid Tier machine: \SAS\SASSolutionsConfig\Lev1\web\webapps\exploded\sas.solutions.services.ear \SAS\SASSolutionsConfig\Lev1\web\webapps\exploded\sas.solutions.odcs.ear \SAS\SASSolutionsConfig\Lev1\web\webapps\exploded\sas.solutions.finance.ear \SAS\SASSolutionsConfig\Lev1\web\webapps\exploded\sas.workflow.ear \SAS\SASSolutionsConfig\Lev1\web\webapps\exploded\sas.solutions.scorecard.ear\sas.solutions.spm.webapp.war\WEB-INF\lib Copy the sas.svc.events.jar file from SASHOME\SASFoundationServices\1.1\jars and replace the jar file in SASHOME\SASSolutionsServices\1.1\RemoteServices\lib on the Mid Tier machine On the Data Tier machine, update the sas.svc.events.jar file in SASHOME\SAS 9.1\soltnsdata\sasmisc with the updated jar that is available in SASHOME\SASFoundationServices\1.1\jars on the Mid Tier machine. This completes the installation of hotfix 913jps03 ON AIX 64BIT.
