INSTALLATION INSTRUCTIONS FOR HOT FIX 913JPS01 ON SOLARIS 64BIT BEFORE DOWNLOADING: The hot fix 913JPS01 addresses the issue(s) in 9.1.3 of SAS Foundation Services software on Solaris 64bit as documented in the "Issue(s) Addressed" section of the hot fix download page: http://ftp.sas.com/techsup/download/hotfix/jps913.html#913jps01 IMPORTANT NOTE(S): 1. You must have SAS Foundation Services 9.1.3 installed on your system before applying this hot fix. 2. You must have SAS 9.1.3 Service Pack 1 installed on your system before applying this hot fix. 3. The installer must be run under the same userid who performed the SAS 9.1.3 installation. INSTALLATION: The hot fix package downloaded is a tar file named 913jps01s6.tar. STEP 1: Extract the contents of the downloaded file Extract the contents of the tar file downloaded into a temporary directory, for example /tmp. $> cd /tmp/ $> tar -xf $HOME/913jps01s6.tar where $HOME is the location to where the tar file was downloaded. This will create a directory called 913jps01 in the current working directory; this directory will contain 3 files: Setup_Solaris_Sparc media.inf setup.jar STEP 2: Initiate the installation wizard $> export DISPLAY=:0 <==== set your display $> cd /tmp/913jps01 $> ./Setup_Solaris_Sparc This will initiate the InstallShield Wizard. Follow the prompts to complete the installation. STEP 3: Configure WebLogic Authentication Copy the sas.svc.sec.login.weblogic.jar file from SASHOME/SASFoundationServices/1.1/jars to your Web server directory, for example /opt/bea/weblogic81/server/lib/mbeantypes. STEP 4: Clean up Remove the /tmp/913jps01 directory and it's contents. This completes the installation of hotfix 913JPS01 ON SOLARIS 64BIT.
