INSTALLATION INSTRUCTIONS FOR HOT FIX 14FOS01 ON WINDOWS


BEFORE DOWNLOADING:

The hot fix 14FOS01 addresses the issue(s) in 1.4 of SAS Forecast Studio
software on Windows as documented in the "Issue(s) Addressed" section of
the hot fix download page:

   http://ftp.sas.com/techsup/download/hotfix/fos14.html#14fos01

IMPORTANT NOTE(S):

1.  You must have SAS Forecast Studio 1.4 installed on your 
    system before applying this hot fix.

2.  You must have Administrator Privileges on your CLIENT or SERVER machine and 
    all currently active SAS Forecast Studio 1.4 sessions must be terminated 
    before applying this hot fix.

AFTER DOWNLOADING:

The hot fix package downloaded is a self extracting exe named 14FOS01wn.exe. 
  Launching the file will extract two components into C:\14FOS01, as follows:  

  forecastsrvr_wn.exe
         contains updates to SAS Forecast Server

   forcaststdo_wn.exe
         contains updates to SAS Forecast Studio 
         

Use the instructions below to apply the individual components that apply to your 
system.


Installing forecastsrvr_wn.exe
------------------------------

- You must stop SAS Analytics Platform before applying this component of the hotfix.
- After executing forecastsrvr_wn.exe, you should restart SAS Analytics Platform.

Run forecastsrvr_wn.exe on the machine where SAS Forcast Server is installed (this 
may require copying the file to the appropriate machine).  Launching this executable 
will initiate the install wizard, which will guide you through the setup process.  
The following files will be installed:

sas.forecasting-remote.jar
sas.forecasting-swing.jar
sas.forecasting-client.jar 


Installing forcaststdo_wn.exe
-----------------------------

- You must ensure that no Forcast Studio processes are running on the client you 
are updating.   

Run  forcaststdo_wn.exe on the machine where SAS Forcast Studio is installed (this 
may require copying the file to the appropriate machine).  Launching this executable 
will initiate the install wizard, which will guide you through the setup process.  
The following files will be updated to your client:
 
sas.forecasting-client.jar
sas.forecasting-swing.jar


This completes the installation of hot fix 14FOS01 on Windows.
