INSTALLATION INSTRUCTIONS FOR HOT FIX 12FOS01 ON SOLARIS 64BIT BEFORE DOWNLOADING: The hot fix 12FOS01 addresses the issue(s) in 1.2 of SAS Forecast Studio software on Solaris 64bit as documented in the "Issue(s) Addressed" section of the hot fix download page: http://ftp.sas.com/techsup/download/hotfix/fos12.html#12fos01 IMPORTANT NOTE(S): 1. You must have SAS Forecast Studio 1.2 installed on your system before applying this hot fix. 2. You must have Administrator Privileges on your CLIENT or SERVER machine and all currently active SAS Forecast Studio 1.2 sessions must be terminated before applying this hot fix. It is advised that the same userid/pwd be used to apply the hotfix which was used during the original SAS Forecast Studio 1.2 installation 3. You must stop SAS Analytics Platform before applying this hotfix. After hotfix installation you should restart SAS Analytics Platform . AFTER DOWNLOADING: The hot fix package downloaded is a tar file named 12FOS01s6.tar. Launch 12FOS01s6.tar on the machine where SAS Forcast Server is installed (this may require copying the file to the appropriate machine). STEP 1: Extract the contents of the downloaded file Extract the contents of the tar file downloaded into a temporary directory, for example /tmp. $> cd /tmp/ $> tar -xf $HOME/ 12FOS01s6.tar where $HOME is the location to where the tar file was downloaded. The tar command will extract the following files to the temporary directory: s64/Setup_Solaris_Sparc s64/media.inf s64/setup.jar STEP 2: Verify that Setup_Solaris_Sparc has execute permission. If it does not, use the 'chmod' command to make it executable: $> cd /tmp/12fos01/s64 $> chmod 755 Setup_Solaris_Sparc STEP 3: Initiate the installation wizard $> export DISPLAY=:0 <==== set your display $> cd /tmp $> ./Setup_Solaris_Sparc The following files will be updated: sas.forecasting-remote.jar sas.forecasting-help.jar sas.forecasting-swing.jar sas.forecasting-client.jar This completes the installation of hot fix 12FOS01 on SOLARIS 64BIT
