INSTALLATION INSTRUCTIONS FOR HOT FIX 321FI09 ON HPUX BEFORE DOWNLOADING: The hot fix 321FI09 addresses the issue(s) in Release 3.2.1 of SAS Financial Management Solutions software on HPUX as documented in the "Issue(s) Addressed" section of the hot fix download page: http://ftp.sas.com/techsup/download/hotfix/fms321.html IMPORTANT NOTE(S): 1. You must have Release 3.2.1 of SAS Financial Management Solutions installed on your system before applying this hot fix. Do not apply this hot fix to Release 3.2 of SAS Financial Management Solutions. AFTER DOWNLOADING: The hot fix package that is downloaded (321fi09h8.tar.Z) is in compressed tar format. The following instructions describe the steps for installing the files contained in the hot fix. In this example, the directory where Release 3.2.1 is installed is: /usr/lib/fms321 STEP 1: Assuming the tar file is downloaded to the user's HOME directory, follow these procedures to install the package. $> cd /usr/lib/fms321 $> uncompress -c $HOME/321fi09h8.tar | tar -xf - This hotfix must be applied to your FMS Server and all FMS Client machines. Be sure that you stop your SAS Financial Management Server before applying the hot fix. STEP 2: If you are using the SAS Planning feature of SAS Financial Management Solutions, you must also apply the hot fix to your web application server. Be sure that you stop your web application server before applying the hot fix. The planning hot fix archive is placed in the cfomisc subdirectory of your installation by the 321FI09 hot fix. Use the appropriate archive for your web application server architecture, 321planning09.zip for Windows or 321planning09.tar for Unix. Before you apply the Planning Web Data Entry hot fix, you should make a backup copy of the tfm.properties file that you have customized for your site. On Windows, for example, if you are using Jakarta tomcat and installed the planning web application into the default location: $> cd c:\jakarta-tomcat-3.2.4\webapps\planning $> copy WEB-INF\tfm.properties WEB-INF\tfm.properties.save Extract the archive into the directory where you have installed the planning web application. On Windows, for example, if you are using Jakarta tomcat and installed the planning web application into the default location, extract the planning hot fix into: c:\jakarta-tomcat-3.2.4\webapps Or for your Unix application server: $> cd /usr/webapps $> tar -xf $HOME/321planning09.tar Modify the tfm.properties file for your site, changing information such as the name and port number of your server, the mail host and administrator. These parameters are described in your WDE Installation and Configuration guide which can be found at: http://support.sas.com/documentation/installcenter/admindoc/installation/budget_3.2.1_planninginstall.pdf Refer to your saved copy of tfm.properties file if needed. Restart your application server for the hot fix to take effect or use the deployment process appropriate for your application server. Your Planning clients will be prompted to download new planning jar files when they next login to the Planning web application. STEP 3: If you are using the Web Reporting feature of SAS Financial Management Solutions, you must also apply the hot fix to your web application server. Be sure that you stop your web application server before applying the hot fix. The web reporting hot fix archive is placed in the cfomisc subdirectory of your installation by the 321FI09 hot fix. Use the appropriate archive for your web application server architecture, 321webreporting09.zip for Windows or 321webreporting09.tar for Unix. Extract the archive into the directory where you have installed the web reporting application. On Windows, for example, if you are using Jakarta tomcat and installed the web reporting application into the default location, extract the hot fix into: c:\jakarta-tomcat-3.2.4\webapps Or for your Unix application server: $> cd /usr/webapps $> tar -xf $HOME/321webreporting09.tar Restart your application server for the hot fix to take effect or use the deployment process appropriate for your application server. STEP 4: If you are using the Web FDB feature of SAS Financial Management Solutions, you must also apply the hot fix to your web application server. Be sure that you stop your web application server before applying the hot fix. The web FDB hot fix archive is placed in the cfomisc subdirectory of your installation by the 321FI09 hot fix. Use the appropriate archive for your web application server architecture, 321webfdb09.zip for Windows or 321webfdb09.tar for Unix. Extract the archive into the directory where you have installed the web FDBapplication. On Windows for example, if you are using Jakarta tomcat and installed the web FDB application into the default location, extract the hot fix into: c:\jakarta-tomcat-3.2.4\webapps Or for your Unix application server: $> cd /usr/webapps $> tar -xf $HOME/321webfdb09.tar Restart your application server for the hot fix to take effect or use the deployment process appropriate for your application server.
