INSTALLATION INSTRUCTIONS FOR HOT FIX 513DMT01 ON AIX 64BIT


BEFORE DOWNLOADING:

The hot fix 513DMT01 addresses the issue(s) in 5.1.3 of SAS Enterprise Miner Java Client
software on AIX 64bit as documented in the "Issue(s) Addressed" section of
the hot fix download page:

IMPORTANT NOTE(S):

1.  You must have SAS Enterprise Miner Java Client 5.1.3 installed on your 
    system before applying this hot fix.

2.  You must have SAS 9.1.3 Service Pack 2 installed on your system before 
    applying this hot fix.

3.  The installer must be run under the same userid who performed the SAS 9.1.3
    installation.



INSTALLATION:

The hot fix package downloaded is a tar file named 513dmt01r6.tar.  


STEP 1:  Extract the contents of the downloaded file

    Extract the contents of the tar file downloaded into a temporary
    directory, for example /tmp.

         $> cd /tmp/

         $> tar -xf $HOME/513dmt01r6.tar

    where $HOME is the location to where the tar file was downloaded.

This will create a directory called 513dmt01_r64 in the current working directory; this
directory will contain 3 files:

         Setup_AIX_Power  
         media.inf            
         setup.jar


STEP 2:  Initiate the installation wizard

         $>  export DISPLAY=<nodename>:0             <==== set your display

         $>  cd /tmp/513dmt01_r64 

         $>  ./Setup_AIX_Power  

This will initiate the InstallShield Wizard.  Follow the prompts to complete the
installation.


STEP 3: Clean up


    Remove the /tmp/30srmsa01_r64 directory and it's contents.



This completes the installation of hotfix 513DMT01 on AIX 64BIT.
