INSTALLATION INSTRUCTIONS FOR HOT FIX 913XMLADOTNET02 ON WINDOWS


BEFORE DOWNLOADING:

The hot fix 913XMLADOTNET02 addresses the issue(s) in 9.1.3 of SAS Integration Technologies 
Client for Windows software on Windows as documented in the "Issue(s) Addressed" 
section of the hot fix download page:

SPECIAL CONSIDERATIONS AND REQUIREMENTS:

This hot fix requires that you install the Microsoft Common Run-Time Libraries (CRT).
These libraries are available through the Microsoft Visual C++ 2005 Redistributable
for x86  package, which can be downloaded from the Microsoft link below:

Before Installation:

1.  You must have SAS IT Client for Windows 9.1.3 installed on your machine before 
    applying this hot fix.  SAS IT Client for Windows is installed by Base SAS, 
    SAS Enterprise Guide, and can also be installed standalone.

2.  You must have Administrator Privileges on your CLIENT and all currently active 
    SAS client applications should be shut down.  Examples of Client applications :
  
       SAS Enterprise Guide
       itconfig
       AMO
       IIS Applications
       Stat Studio
       any custom application using IT Client for Windows

3. You must have SAS BI Web Services for .NET installed on your machine before 
    applying this hot fix
    
4.  If you use SAS BI Web Services or your own .Net web services which call SAS, you 
    should do the following:
    
    ** Shut down the IIS before Hotfix Installation
    or issue the command 'iisreset'to reset your IIS server so it can release any 
    reference to SSASSPSProvider.dll,Interop.SASObjectManager.dll and xmla.dll 
    which will be updated with this hot fix installlation.
  


AFTER DOWNLOADING:

The hot fix package downloaded is a self extracting executable named 
913Ixmladotnet02wn.exe.  Launching the executable will initiate the install wizard, 
which will guide you through the setup process.  The following files will
be installed:

      *SASSPSProvider.dll 
          
      *Interop.SASObjectManager.dll  
             
      *xmla.dll  
      
            
To confirm that the hot fix is installed successfully you should see the following
during the final phase of the hot fix installation:

INSTALLATION INFORMATION
Destination Directory: C:\Inetpub\wwwroot\SASWS\bin
 
FILE TRANSFER
File Copied: SSASSPSProvider.dll 
File Copied: Interop.SASObjectManager.dll      
File Copied: xmla.dll  

AFTER INSTALLATION:

Restart IIS
Restart any previously exited application.
