INSTALLATION INSTRUCTIONS FOR HOT FIX 10LM02 ON WINDOWS BEFORE DOWNLOADING: The hot fix 10LM02 addresses the issue(s) in Release 1.0 of SAS IT Service Level Management software on Windows as documented in the "Issue(s) Addressed" section of the hot fix download page: http://ftp.sas.com/techsup/download/hotfix/itslm10.html IMPORTANT NOTE(S): 1. You must have SAS IT Service Level Management 1.0 installed on your system before applying this hot fix. 2. You must stop your SAS IT Service Level Management server before applying the hot fix. 3. You must have at least 55 MB of available disk space on your system before applying this hot fix. AFTER DOWNLOADING: STEP 1: The hot fix package downloaded is a self extracting executable named 10lm02wn.exe. Launching the executable will initiate the install wizard, which will guide you through the setup process. STEP 2: You must also apply a client component of the hot fix to your ITSLM Windows clients. The Windows SAS IT Service Level Management client hot fix archive is placed in the itslm\sasmisc subdirectory of your Windows installation by the 10LM02 hot fix. The client hot fix is also a self-extracting executable, 10lm02wn_c.exe. Copy this file to all your ITSLM client systems using a file transfer program such as FTP. Extract the archive into the directory where you have installed the SAS IT Service Level Management client. Launching 10lm02wn_c.exe will initiate the install wizard, which will guide you through the setup process. If you installed to a path other than the default path of C:\Program Files\SAS\SAS\SAS IT Service Level Management\1.0 then specify the correct path in the Directory Location field before continuing the installation. STEP 3: The Windows client executable includes the file 10lm02wn_doc.exe which is placed in the directory where you installed SAS IT Service Level Management client. Launching 10lm02wn_doc.exe will install all of the documentation associated with the 10LM02 hot fix. STEP 4: The Windows client executable also includes a zip file of updated samples called samples.zip. When extracted it provides a complete set of samples, which inlcudes 2 contract databases, 1 environment, 3 report folders, 1 Enterprise Guide project, and two SAS programs for importing the contract databases and environment. These samples supercede the samples provided on your SAS IT Service Level Management 1.0 Client CD. If you wish to install these samples, then unzip samples.zip to a location of your choice. Then refer to your SAS IT Service Level Management 1.0 Installation documentation for more information on working with the samples. The extracted zip file uses 65Meg of disk storage space. This completes the installation of hot fix 10LM02 on Windows.
