INSTALLATION INSTRUCTIONS FOR HOT FIX 24CH03 ON WINDOWS


BEFORE DOWNLOADING:

The hot fix 24CH03 addresses the issue(s) in Release 2.4 of IT Charge Manager
software on Windows as documented in the "Issue(s) Addressed" section of
the hot fix download page:

IMPORTANT NOTE(S):

1.  You must have IT Charge Manager Release 2.4 installed on your 
    system before applying this hot fix.

2.  It is important that you make a backup copy your SAS IT Charge Management site 
    libraries and PDB libraries before applying the Hot Fix.  This is to ensure that 
    you preserve a copy of the customization, such as user exit programs, e.g. Exit 205, 
    made on your SAS IT Charge Management sites.  You should restore any customization to 
    the site after you have applied the Hot Fix to the SAS IT Charge Management software.

3.  The SAS Note SN-013756 (http://support.sas.com/kb/13756) is particularly critical for the 
    SAS IT Charge Management sites connecting to the z/OS server via a spawner.  It is required 
    to configure the spawner as instructed by the SAS Note before connecting to these sites via 
    the SAS IT Charge Management GUI.  If the spawner configuration is not set up as instructed, 
    you will experience failure of submitting batch jobs, such as Database Definition job and 
    consolidation job, via the GUI.

4. You should also download and install the latest SAS/CONNECT hot fix which is available at:

AFTER DOWNLOADING:

The hot fix package downloaded is a zip file named 24ch03wn.zip which
contains the following files: 

      * fixwiz.sas7bcat
    
      * fixcum.sas7bcat

      * fixrecrd.sas7bdat

      * fixdate.sas7bdat
      
      * new_ec_ca.sas7bdat
      
      * new_ec_in.sas7bdat
      
      * readme.txt


Installation steps: 

1. Unzip the fix pack and copy the SAS files (excluding readme.txt) to your prefix.ECLIB library.  
   The ECLIB library is typically drive:\[SAS Install Path]\CPE\CHM\EC\ECLIB.

2. Launch SAS IT Charge Management.  Click on the EXIT button at the 
   "Welcome to SAS IT Charge Management" window.  Select "Exit IT Charge Management Only" item
   from the popup menu.

3. Type 'af c=eclib.fixwiz.main.scl' (no quotes) in the command line box and press Enter to 
   execute the command.

4. Follow the instructions from the SAS IT Charge Management Hot Fix wizard.

5. Exit out of SAS IT Charge Management.  Future launches of the system will use the 
   applied fixes.  

6. Launch SAS IT Charge Management again.

7. From Site Selection frame, click the open selected site button. 
   A window will briefly appear indicating "Applying Maintenance".

8. Repeat step 7 for each site administered.


This completes the installation of hot fix 24CH03 on Windows.
