Important Changes to Hot Fixes
The changes described below are applicable to Hot Fixes for SAS 9.2.
|
The organization of the SAS 9.2 hot fix download site is based on the new
Product-Specific Release Numbers for SAS 9.2.
Links to Hot fix pages for all products and releases in the SAS 9.2 family are accessible from
one location, including links to pages for Foundation SAS, middle-tier and client products and Solutions.
You still have access to hot fixes organized by operating system and by hot fix release date.
|
New hot fix installer technology has been introduced for all operating systems.
More information about the installer is available in the Maint_Install_Tool.pdf.
|
Separate hot fix downloads are no longer necessary for Asian Language Support (DBCS) or National Language Support (NLS).
Only one download per hot fix and operating system is required. The hot fix installer identifies the languages installed
with SAS and applies the relevant hot fix components.
|
Hot Fix downloads have a new naming convention.
For example, examining Hot Fix "A01005wn":
A01005wn = a unique code that identifies the SAS product and version to receive the hot fix.
A01005wn = an incremental value for each hot fix that applies to the above code.
A01005wn = the operating system for the hot fix (in this example, Windows).
Please review SAS 9.2 Hot Fix Codes for information on the codes that are currently in use.
