Installation Instructions for Hot Fix U45001

Hadoop on Linux x64


IMPORTANT NOTES

  1. NOTE: This hot fix cannot be installed using the SAS Deployment Manager! Please read the instructions below carefully in order to complete the installation.

  2. You must have Administrator Privileges on your CLIENT or SERVER machine.

  3. All currently active SAS sessions, daemons, spawners and servers must be terminated before applying this hot fix.

  4. This hot fix should be installed using the same userid who performed the initial software installation.

INSTALLATION

Follow the instructions below to download the hot fix:

  1. Navigate to the SASHOME/SASTKInDatabaseServer/9.4/HadooponLinuxx64 directory.

  2. Make a backup of the file tkindbsrv-9.42-1_lax.sh

  3. Create a directory named hotfix

  4. Copy the U45001hl.zip file into the hotfix directory.

  5. Unzip the file. The result should be a file named tkindbsrv-9.42-1_lax.sh

  6. Copy this file to the SASHOME/SASTKInDatabaseServer/9.4/HadooponLinuxx64 directory, replacing the existing file.

Follow the instructions below to reinstall the Embedded Process:

This hot fix requires that the Embedded Process be reinstalled using the provided, patched install script. If you have already installed the Embedded Process, it will first need to be stopped and uninstalled.

To stop, uninstall, and reinstall the Hadoop server-side deployment, refer to Section: "Hadoop Installation and Configuration" on page 52 of the SAS 9.4 In-Database Products Administrator’s Guide, Fifth Edition.



This completes the installation of hot fix U47001 for Hadoop on Linux x64.
