Installation Instructions for Hot Fix U27001

Hot fix U27001 addresses the issue(s) in SAS Studio 3.3 on Windows as documented in the Issue(s) Addressed section of the hot fix download page:

The hot fix downloaded, U27001wn.zip, contains the updated files required to address the documented issues.
Do NOT extract the contents of U27001wn.zip. The hot fix installation process will extract the contents as needed.


IMPORTANT NOTES

  1. You must have SAS Studio 3.3 installed on your system before applying this hot fix. Refer to SN-35968 for instructions on how to determine which product releases you have installed.

  2. Files delivered in this hot fix will be backed up during the installation process. However, it is good general practice to back up your system before applying updates to software.

  3. You must have Administrator Privileges on your CLIENT or SERVER machine.

  4. All currently active SAS sessions, daemons, spawners and servers must be terminated before applying this hot fix.

  5. This hot fix should be installed using the same userid who performed the initial software installation.


Installation using the SAS Deployment Manager (SDM)

If you originally installed SAS Studio 3.3 using the SAS Deployment Wizard (SDW), then Hot Fix U27001 should be applied to your system using the SAS Deployment Manager (SDM). By default, the SDM will search in the <SASHOME>\InstallMisc\HotFixes\New directory for hot fixes to be applied, but will also prompt for a location if you have downloaded hot fixes to a different directory.

After downloading U27001wn.zip, follow the instructions for applying hot fixes in the SAS Deployment Wizard and SAS Deployment Manager 9.4: User’s Guide.


Installation using Windows Installer (MSI)

If you originally installed SAS Studio 3.3 using the Independent Installer from the SAS Software Depot\standalone_installs directory, then Hot Fix U27001 should be applied to your system using using the following steps:

1) Create a "U27001wn" directory on your machine and extract the contents of U27001wn.zip into that directory.

2) Go to the U27001wn\products\webedtr__U27001__win__en__sp0__1 directory

3) Double-click "webedtr.msi"


This completes the installation of hot fix U27001 on Windows.
