Installation Instructions for Hot Fix M94002

The hot fix downloaded, M94002la.zip, contains the updated files required to address the documented issues.
Do NOT extract the contents of M94002la.zip. The hot fix installation process will extract the contents as needed.


IMPORTANT NOTES

  1. You must have SAS High-Performance Risk Server Component 3.2 installed on your system before applying this hot fix. Refer to SN-35968 for instructions on how to determine which product releases you have installed.

  2. You must have installed hot fix container M96001, which contains individual hot fixes M89001 and M94001 prior to downloading and installing this hot fix.

  3. Files delivered in this hot fix will be backed up during the installation process. However, it is good general practice to back up your system before applying updates to software.

  4. You must have Administrator Privileges on your CLIENT or SERVER machine.

  5. All currently active SAS sessions, daemons, spawners and servers must be terminated before applying this hot fix.

  6. This hot fix should be installed using the same userid who performed the initial software installation.


INSTALLATION

The M94002 hot fix for SAS High-Performance Risk Server Component 3.2 will be installed using the SAS Deployment Manager (SDM). By default, the SDM will search in the <SASHOME>/InstallMisc/HotFixes/New directory for hot fixes to be applied, but will also prompt for a location if you have downloaded hot fixes to a different directory.

After downloading M94002la.zip, follow the instructions for applying hot fixes in the SAS Deployment Wizard and SAS Deployment Manager 9.4: User’s Guide.

The content of this hot fix is listed in the hot fix manifest.


POST-INSTALLATION INSTRUCTIONS

Copy the tkrisk.so file installed in <SASROOT>/sasexe to the <install>/TKGrid/lib2 location on the grid node to complete deployment of this hot fix.



This completes the installation of hot fix M94002 on Linux for x64.
