Problem: Job Fails to Run on Data Management Server if Macro not set on Server Manager, but is set in macros.cfg When using a data job (ddf file) as a batch job or realtime service, the behavior of input variables (in the case of batch jobs) and output variables (for batch and realtime) should be noted. Input variables that are named the same as macros in the macros.cfg file will override the value of those macros. This is the expected action however, if the input variable is not provided, the macro value will not be used as it should be used. Output variable values will not be propagated back to the client in the case of realtime services. Prerequisite Software: Data Management Server 2.1 SP2 (2.1.2) To install the patch: 1. Stop the DataFlux Data Management Server 2.1 service if it is running. You can check the status of the service using the Services applet on the Windows Control Panel (may be found under Administrative Tools). 2. Unzip the archive dmserver-fix17501-win64.zip into the root directory of your DMS installation. This is typically: C:\Program Files\DataFlux\DMServer\2.1 Substitute the appropriate directory if you installed the product in a different location. 3. If you stopped the Data Management Server service in step one, restart it. The following files will be installed or updated by this patch: bin/wfe10.dll
