Problems:

* Phonetics editor returns different result in v7 and v8 if there is a space in the string. 
* Performance degradation in matching caused by phonetics processing

Description of Problems:

There is a difference between versions 7 and 8 on the processing of strings
that contain a space.

In the phonetics editor, if you test "DI NANNI", it will return DINANE in v7,
and DENANE in v8. This is because the space is removed in one case.

There has also been a noticable degradation in matchcode generation due to 
changes in the phonetics processor.

Prerequisite Software: 

dfPpower 8.1 SP2 (8.1.2)

To install the patch:

1. Unzip the archive dfpower-fix17664-win32.zip into the root directory of 
   your dfPower Studio installation. This is typically:

      C:\Program Files\DataFlux\dfPower Studio\8.1
 
   Substitute the appropriate directory if you installed the product in a
   different location.
