POST-INSTALLATION INSTRUCTIONS

  1. This hot fix contains updates to SAS Add-in for Microsoft Office 4.305 for the languages in the table below. These updates will be installed in !SASHOME\AddInForMicrosoftOffice\4.3\<lang> where <lang> is the code used to represent a specific language.

To free up disk space, you may choose to delete the <lang> folders for language(s) which you did not select during the original SAS Add-in for Microsoft Office 4.305 installation.

    LanguageLanguage code
    Danishda
    Germande
    Spanishes
    Frenchfr
    Hebrewhe
    Italianit

    Koreanko

  2. Additional steps may be required to fully address the problem documented in SAS Note 45250 DBCS functions are not listed on "New Computed Column" Window

If you have previously created a computed column using advanced expressions, the file sasexpfunc.xml in the Application Data folder must be deleted, for example

    Windows XP:
    C:\Documents and Settings\<userid>\Application Data\SAS\SharedSettings\4.3\Expressions\<language>\sasexpfunc.xml

    Windows Vista, Windows 7:
    C:\Users\<userid>\AppData\Roaming\SAS\SharedSettings\4.3\Expressions\<language>\sasexpfunc.xml
This file must be deleted after applying the hot fix and before attempting to use the advanced expression control again.

If advanced expressions have never been used to create a computed column, sasexpfunc.xml will not exist in the Application Data folder and applying the hot fix will be sufficient to address this problem.

This completes the installation of hot fix C46026 on Windows.
