Hot fix B33001 addresses the issue(s) in SAS OpRisk VaR 4.1_M2 on 64-bit Enabled HP-UX as documented in the Issue(s) Addressed section of the hot fix download page:

http://ftp.sas.com/techsup/download/hotfix/HF2/B33.html#B33001

This hot fix download consists of individual hot fix packages for the following software components:

B31001 - SAS OpRisk VaR Server 4.1
B32001(Win) - SAS OpRisk VaR Java Client 4.1
B32001(Wx6) - SAS OpRisk VaR Java Client 4.1

Before applying this hot fix, follow the instructions in SAS Note 35968 to generate a SAS Deployment Registry report, then verify that the appropriate product releases are installed on your system. The software components and release numbers should match the list of software components updated by the individual hot fix installers. Note that the SAS OpRisk VaR server installation was not updated for the maintenance 2 release.

IMPORTANT NOTES

  1. You must have SAS OpRisk VaR 4.1_M2 installed on your system before applying this hot fix. Check the Help pull-down menu of the SAS OpRisk VaR GUI to identify the release of your SAS OpRisk VaR client installation, which needs to be at 4.1M2 to install this hot fix.

  2. Files delivered in this hot fix will be backed up during the installation process. However, it is good general practice to back up your system before applying updates to software.

  3. You must have Administrator Privileges on your CLIENT or SERVER machine.

  4. All currently active SAS sessions, daemons, spawners and servers must be terminated before applying this hot fix.

  5. This hot fix should be installed using the same userid who performed the initial software installation.

INSTALLATION

  1. The B33001h6.tar hot fix download package is a single tar file that contains individual hot fix packages for the components listed above.
Copy this file to your location of choice, then extract the contents using the following command:

    tar -xvf B33001h6.tar

This will create an B33001 directory which contains the following files:
    B31001h6.bin
    B32001wn.bin
    B32001x6.exe
  2. Copy B31001h6.bin to each machine where SSAS OpRisk VaR Server 4.1 is installed.
Copy B32001wn.bin to each WIN 32 bit (Win) machine where SAS OpRisk VaR Java Client 4.1 is installed.
Copy B32001x6.exe to each WIN 64 bit (Wx6) machine where SAS OpRisk VaR Java Client 4.1 is installed.

  3. To install each individual hot fix, verify that the installation binary (B31001) has execute permission. If it does not, use the chmod command to make it executable. Windows hot fix(s) will be copied to applicable hosts.
    $> chmod 755 B31001h6.bin
  4. Set your $DISPLAY environment variable
    $> export DISPLAY=<your_node_name>:0
  5. Execute the hot fix .bin package:
    $> <path_to_bin_file>/B31001h6.bin

This will initiate the installation wizard, which will guide you through the hot fix installation process. During the installation you will be prompted for the SASHOME location to be updated. You should provide the path to the top level SAS directory where the deploymntreg directory exists.

  6. Review the Post-Installation Instructions below for the hot fix component installed.

See the Maintenance Installation Tool (MIT) documentation for more details on the installation of hot fixes.

POST-INSTALLATION INSTRUCTIONS

The following instructions apply to Traditional Japanese customers only.

When you try to create data store in SAS Oprisk Var Config Editor, the following error could occur:

  2. Move to the location where OpRisk Var 4.1 was installed which by default will be:
    SASHOME/Program Files/SAS/SASOpRiskVaRJavaClient/4.1
Make a back up copy of the file 'picklist' in this folder

  3. Edit the picklist file, removing the 2 lines below:

    name=sas.analytics.cmp.nls
    version=200200.4.0.20090923190000_m2ecj20

  4. Save the file changes and invoke SAS Oprisk Var Config Editor again.
