Installation Instructions for Hot Fix A84001
Linux for x64
Hot fix A84001 addresses the issue(s) in SAS Marketing Automation Data Server 5.3 on Linux for x64 as documented
in the Issue(s) Addressed section of the hot fix download page:

This hot fix download consists of individual hot fix packages for the following software components:
A74001 - SAS Customer Intelligence Utilities 5.3
A83001 - SAS Customer Intelligence Processes 5.3
B41001 - SAS Customer Intelligence Core Mid-Tier 5.3
Before applying this hot fix, follow the instructions in SAS Note 35968 to generate a
SAS Deployment Registry report, then verify that the appropriate product releases are installed on your system. The software components
and release numbers should match the list of software components updated by the individual hot fix installers.

Files delivered in this hot fix will be backed up during the installation process.
However, it is good general practice to back up your system before applying updates
to software.
- You must have Administrator Privileges on your CLIENT or SERVER machine.

All currently active SAS sessions, daemons, spawners and servers must be terminated
before applying this hot fix.
- This hot fix should be installed using the same userid who performed the initial
software installation.

BEFORE INSTALLATION
Files delivered in this hot fix will be backed up during the installation process.
However, it is recommended general practice to back up your system before applying updates to the software. This step should be required if you have a customized version of cds.properties. This file is contained in sas.analytics.crm.ciutilities.ear. This file resides in the directory below:
<SASCONFIGDIR>\Web\Staging.
Be sure you save a copy of the existing cds.properties before continuing this installation.
INSTALLATION

The A84001la.tar hot fix download package is a single tar file that contains individual hot fix packages for the components listed above.
Copy this file to your location of choice, then extract the contents using the following command:
tar -xvf A84001la.tar
This will create an A84001 directory which contains the following files:
A74001la.bin
A83001la.bin
B41001la.exe

Copy A74001la.bin to each machine where SAS Customer Intelligence Utilities 5.3 is installed.
Copy A83001la.bin to each machine where SAS Customer Intelligence Processes 5.3 is installed.
Copy B41001la.exe to each machine where SAS Customer Intelligence Core Mid-Tier 5.3 is installed.

To install each individual hot fix, verify that the installation binary
has execute permission. If it does not, use the chmod command to make
it executable.
$> chmod 755 A74001la.bin
-or-
$> chmod 755 A83001la.bin
-or-
$> chmod 755 B41001la.bin

Set your $DISPLAY environment variable
$> export DISPLAY=<your_node_name>:0

Execute the hot fix .bin package:
$> <path_to_bin_file>/A74001la.bin
-or-
$> <path_to_bin_file>/A83001la.bin
-or-
$> <path_to_bin_file>/B41001la.bin
For example:
$>./A74001la.bin
This will initiate the installation wizard, which will guide you through the hot fix
installation process. During the installation you will be prompted for the
SASHOME location to be updated. You should provide the path to the
top level SAS directory where the deploymntreg directory exists.
