Installation Instructions for Hot Fix A61002

Windows for x64


Hot fix A61002 addresses the issue(s) in SAS Integration Technologies Client 9.22 on Windows for x64 as documented in the Issue(s) Addressed section of the hot fix download page:

This hot fix download consists of 2 individual hot fix packages, listed below, which deliver the updated files.

A61002w32 - 32-bit ITClient updates for WX6
A61002w64 - 64-bit ITClient updates for WX6


IMPORTANT NOTES

  1. You must have SAS Integration Technologies Client 9.22 installed on your system before applying this hot fix.

  2. You must have the following Microsoft updates installed on your system before applying the hot fix:
    Microsoft Visual C++ 2005 Service Pack 1 Redistributable Package ATL: Microsoft ATL ATL Security Update
    If these updates are not present on the system, the hot fix installation will fail.
    When running on a 64bit machine you must download and install both 64bit and 32bit versions.

  3. Files delivered in this hot fix will be backed up during the installation process. However, it is good general practice to back up your system before applying updates to software.

  4. You must have Administrator Privileges on your CLIENT or SERVER machine.

  5. All currently active SAS sessions, daemons, spawners and servers must be terminated before applying this hot fix.

  6. This hot fix should be installed using the same userid who performed the initial software installation.

  7. The A61002w64 component of this hot fix requires post-installation instructions to be followed. Please see the post-installation instructions for this
    hot fix for links containing configuration steps to complete its installation.


INSTALLATION

The A61002x6.exe hot fix download package is a self-extracting zip file that contains individual hot fix packages for the components listed above.
Copy this file to your location of choice, then extract the contents by double-clicking on the A61002x6.exe file.

This will create the directory C:\A61002x6 which contains the following files:
A61002w32.exe
A61002w64.exe
  • To install each individual hot fix, double-click on the .exe file. This will initiate the installation wizard, which will guide you through the hot fix installation process.

  • Review the Post-Installation Instructions below to assure the Hot Fix components are installed correctly.



    POST-INSTALLATION INSTRUCTIONS

    The instructions below apply only if SAS Integration Technologies Client 9.22 is installed to a location other than the default SASHome path:
    "C:\Program Files\SAS\SharedFiles\Integration Technologies"

    Copy SASOMan.dll, SASComb.dll, StoredProcessService.dll and SAS.ParameterPrompting.Model.dll
  • From:
    C:\Program Files\SAS\SharedFiles\Integration Technologies
  • TO:
    SASHOME\SharedFiles\Integration Technologies
    • Where SASHOME is the original location of the SAS Integration Technologies Client 2.2 installation.



    This completes the installation of hot fix A61002 on Windows for x64.
